Endoscopic brow lift, lip lift, fat grafting - happy with my result

ORIGINAL POST

Endoscopic Brow Lift + Lip Lift + Fat Grafting at Hyundai Aesthetics

WORTH IT
I'm a month and a half postop from my lip lift, endoscopic brow lift, and fat grafting! I had basically been waiting the past two years for Korea to open up again and researching clinics. I consulted with Hyundai, Goldenview, Vlif, and Deesse and ended up going to Hyundai. Goldenview said they were closed for an unknown amount of time, and Deesse gave an insanely high quote. And Vlif doesn't do lip lifts, only brows. Hyundai was a bit pricy but I really loved the before/afters I'd seen, and I wanted to do everything at the same time.

I flew into Seoul and me and my friend spent a few days exploring and going to cafes before I had my consult/surgery. I had already scheduled my surgery date with Hyundai before my flight since I had a limited time in Korea and wanted to make sure I was somewhat recovered enough before going home. My consult lasted pretty long because I had an entire list of questions on my phone (def recommend doing this!), and the clinic was full of a lot of people in the waiting room. My consultant was Bella Seo and my translator was Esther and she is so nice and helpful! My surgery date was scheduled for two days later.

Luckily I only needed IV sedation for my surgery instead of GA so I didn't need any blood tests or anything. I really hate needles so the less times I have to be sticked the better haha. My surgery was quite late in the day. It didn't actually start until 5pm, and around an hour before I got to speak with the staff about how exactly I wanted my brows to be. At first they thought I would want them more arched, but I actually really prefer straight brows so I'm really happy that we did this step. As for my lips, they suggested I only remove 3mm since my philtrum was never super long to begin with. And I also got fat grafted from my thighs to my undereyes, upper lids, and nasolabial folds. I was worried I'd end up with really hollow eyelids with my eyebrows being pulled higher, and the fat grafting to my upper lids would dimish that look.
I'm not sure exactly how long my surgery lasted, but including recovery time and everything I didn't actually leave the clinic until 11pm! Esther left with me and she helped me to call a taxi. I normally always take the trains but the bandages I had for my brow lift were crazy looking and I didn't want to be seen haha. My recovery was HARD. The lip lift and fat grafting recovery were easy but brow lift was SO PAINFUL. I'd heard about that previously on realself so I was expecting it but still, my first night was rough. I ended up having 3 endotines placed, and initially my brows were SUPER high since the clinic said it's important to have an initial overcorrection. I didn't ever really have too much swelling honestly, just a lot of bruising around my eyes from the fat grafting. I also had to wear a tight headband nonstop the first few days of recovery so I looked pretty crazy haha.

I ended up staying in Korea for 2-3 weeks after that. I immediately loved how my eyes looked, and lips too! I'd say after the first week my swelling went away and I already really liked my result from that point. My brows were still super high but slowly have been coming down a bit. I'd say they kept coming down very slowly until around the 1 month mark. At this point they're definitely noticeably higher but not crazy high at all, which is exactly what I was hopinfg for!

My nose also ended up getting swollen too which I’m not sure if that’s from the brow or lip lift. But it did look wider for two weeks which had my concerned, but it completely went back to normal.

So far, I haven't had any hair loss and for the longest time I genuinely couldn't even find where my incision areas were in my hair. I've heard some people get temporary hair loss in those areas but that didn't happen to me. Another benefit of the brow lift besides having higher brows is that any tiny micro wrinkles I was starting to get on my forehead are gone now. I'm in my early 30s so they were starting to show even with retina use, and I think an endoscopic brow lift helps to prevent them which is a huge plus! My lips/philtrum are still looking great at this point, although I do miss the swelling so I might get filler. And my eyes are still sensitive but I think at this point the majority of the fat has stayed. I've had fat grafting to eyes in the past but it didn't last quite as much, and I think something that helps it to survive better is just avoiding alcohol entirely for 2-3 months+ afterwards. I probably won't drink at all until new years time. I do still occasionally have zingers, like small but sharp pains where the endotines are. Hyundai mentioned that they take around 6 months to fully dissolve, so I imagine I'll still be able to feel them occasionally for a while yet. I was instructed to wear my tight headband consistently at home for 3 months post op to keep my brows from falling too much. But other than that, endotine brow lifts are supposed to be permanent! And wayyyy less scarring (if any) compared to a traditional big cut brow lift. My lip lift scar is super well done too. I got the type of incision where it goes slightly up into your nostrils instead of just being straight across. I’m not sure why you would ever do the straight across one, but the way mine is it’s barely visible at all. It is still slightly red but I’ve been using scar gel and always sunblock so I’m sure it’ll fade after a few more months. Overall I'm really happy with my result! I plan to come back to Korea after a few months to get my fat grafting top up.
