Endoscopic Face Lift, 35 Years Old. Beautiful and Natural Result

WORTH IT
I saw Dr. Guncel several months ago for an endoscopic mid face and temporal lift. This wasn’t the first time I had seen him, I saw him five years ago for rhinoplasty and breast augmentation. When I saw him for my first procedures, I found him to be very skilled, professional, and honestly just so approachable and kind.

This time around, nothing had changed. The doctor and his team are amazing. I corresponded with Pelda for months beforehand. Despite receiving many inquiries and supporting many patients, she was incredible. She made me feel comforted and confident in my choice, and she really went above and beyond in answering all my questions. The entire team is honestly so wonderful, they make you feel very at home.

I decided to go with Dr. Guncel because I always find that he does very natural, delicate and unassuming work. Being only 34 at the time, I didn’t want to look like I had “work done.” I have friends who have seen other doctors and opted for a more extreme look. While that suited them, I wanted to keep my natural beauty and simply enhance it.

When I arrived for the first consult, I felt very reassured. I basically told the doctor that I trusted him to do what he thought best, but I did ask for my eyebrows to go out rather than up. I believe he achieved exactly that, and I adore the end result.

Getting to the hospital and filling out the paperwork etc. was no problem (just take your passport). The next day you arrive at the hospital for surgery, and the doctor and his team meet you there.

I’d be lying if I said waking up from surgery wasn’t difficult. It’s painful, you’re swollen, you look a bit scary, and a lot of the staff don’t speak English (fair enough, but it can make communication difficult when you’re in pain). I suggest connecting to the hospital Wi-Fi before surgery, because my phone data didn’t work during either of my stays. With Wi-Fi, you can use Google Translate and update family and friends. I couldn’t eat while in the hospital, and the pain medicine made me sick, I vomited a bit. The next day, someone comes to shower you and help you get dressed. Then they pop you into a taxi and send you back to your hotel. I suggest having supplies ready for at least three days because you won’t feel up to leaving the room.

The first 3 to 4 days are difficult. There is pain, bruising, swelling (I looked very round), and some anxiety, which is all normal. I promise it passes and becomes a distant memory. By day 4, I didn’t care how I looked, I was itching to get out of the room, walk, and get some fresh air. Try to eat good, healthy food, protein and collagen if you can. Rest and sleep elevated on pillows. Sleeping on a neck or airplane cushion helped me not roll onto my face, as I was a stomach sleeper before. Be prepared for some looks in the street, but whatever!

Please note, my eyebrows weren’t even at the start, even after some of the swelling went down. They weren’t even prior to surgery either, and once everything healed, they evened out so nicely. I was anxious about this, but please don’t worry until everything has settled properly.

After the initial round, bruised face, everything healed really quickly. I ended up extending my trip because I needed a few more days to heal. However, by the time I got to my next destination, you wouldn’t have been able to tell I’d had surgery.

At first, the results looked tight, and I had more of a cat eye look. I’m now several months post op. My best friend, whose special interest is plastic surgery, says my face looks chic and expensive, which is honestly the best compliment. It’s subtle, it’s refreshing, I adore it, and I feel so confident. I just turned 35, and I’m so utterly happy with my choice.

Seeing the team one last time and saying goodbye was sad, they are all so great. You are in very good, reputable, and caring hands. Above all, Dr. Guncel is a true artist. He genuinely cares about his work. I always felt that if something had gone wrong (not that it did), he would handle it in a compassionate and ethical way. He’s a lovely man with a great reputation even within Turkey. All the work his done on me has always gotten so many compliments and no one ever thinks I’ve had anything done. He is also European certified, which is great.

I’ll upload some photos, the ones at the end are from before. :) x
