54 years old and thin - Emsculpt Neo, completely not worth it

ORIGINAL POST

Emsculpt Neo, Completely Not Worth It

$6,000
I am 54 years old and thin, 114LB, and workout 5 times per week. I have a minor fat pouch in my lower abdomen. My triceps could be more toned.
I went to get a consultation from from Dr. Avaliani who was thrilled to see me. She told me I was an ideal candidate for Emsculpt Neo, insisting that since I had such a small frame and sincerely had minor pockets of problematic areas, Emsculpt would easily further tone me in addition to removing the small fat pocket that was there. She said after 4 weeks, I would see a difference. It has been 2 months and there has been absolutely no change whatsoever. Nothing. It was a complete waste of money.
After Dr. Avaliani spoke to me on the day of our initial consultation, her billing person immediately came to see me, gave me pricing and very aggressively pushed for the sale, then took the credit card and charged the full amount immediately (it had to be paid for in full before they would do any work). She was gruff and not one bit friendly. After scheduling my first appointment, I left the office feeling a bit bothered and annoyed I had spent so much money and did not even get a thank you.
I arrived for my first session and was brought into a room with an exam table and boxes scattered around the floor of the room. It was messy and was a bit taken aback. I was given large disposable shorts to put on, and the woman left. The curtain was wide open and I could see people at their desks working in the building next door. I was left to reach over to the curtain to shut it, all while finagling my body around the boxes on the floor.
The wrapping on the shorts was dirty, so i waited for the woman to return and asked me for a different pair. She reached into the box and her hand got dirty. Realizing the items inside the box that was under the table were all wet and sticky, she left to wash her hands and get clean shorts for me. I was feeling confused and uneasy.
The tech who did my procedure was the only person who spend any amount of time with me. In the four sessions I had, Dr. Avaliani showed her face door a total of 90 seconds. She came in the first session, looked at how everything was strapped on, gave me a thumbs up, and left. For the other sessions, she literally stuck her head in for 4 seconds, gave me a thumbs up and left. I didn’t even see her for my last session. The tech who was with me was lovely and gave me a bottle of water and advised me to drink a lot after the session. She told me I would see the final results after 4 weeks. There has been no change whatsoever.
The sessions were tolerable, they were at the highest for heat and contractions. The first session was the toughest for my lower abdominals, but tolerable. I don’t believe the pads were placed low enough, but they insisted it was the lowest they could go. It’s possible my frame was too small and the pads wldve his my hip bones or pelvis if it went lower. The pads for the triceps were problematic for placement. They never felt like they were placed well, though my arms did independently flex periodically during the session.
Overall, I am extremely disappointed, both w the facility and the treatment. I felt I was misled, and worked w a provider who did not care about me one bit, in an office that was not well kept. For $800 PER SESSION/PER AREA, you would hope the doctor would have a very clean, inviting and neat treatment room. And you would hope they would spend at least 5 minutes with you and strap in the pads personally, at least for the first session.
