If It Sounds Too Good to Be True...

I had this done at an office I've been going to for 20 yrs. The doc I've seen in that time, I had 100% trust in her. I have had pos and neg experiences in terms of treatments over the years. With Emface, I saw a LITTLE improvement after treatment 3 of 4. Treatment4 didn't change things. Six weeks after treatment 4 of 4, conditions suddenly worsened, lax skin, worse jowls, visible skin wrinkling, almost in a disfiguring way. Much worse than pre-conditions. I didn't include the photos showing loose skin almost like a Shar-Pei (very wrinkly dog breed). My sense is that muscles may have tightened but skin did not which resulted in the very visible more wrinkly and droopy surface appearance. No idea why as I have had Ultherapy, Thermage, etc. in the past and saw "some" improvement. Two data points - I had a face lift 8 years ago and I have been using home radio frequency, microcurrent and red light devices at home since early 2022 which I continued religiously until stopping them prior to the Emface treatment. There is so much loose skin I feel like my only option now is another face lift which aside from the cost is very discouraging.

Another unexpected downside of Ellacore
freakeyesSeptember 15, 2024
Since the procedure my skin has become hyper sensitive. Even Neutrogena and Ilia products I used before without incident cause breakouts. I can only use Vanicream now. I haven't had skin sensitivity problems for decades and nothing else changed so I don't know what else it could be from after effects of Ellacore. I am hoping it's a function of the healing process (I am 4 mos. out from treatment) and will calm down.
