Embrace Active Scar Therapy

2nd round done

$350
So far I am very happy with Embrace. I don't feel my scars have widened at all since using it. They are even flatter than after the first round. My skin was starting to itch a bit after this round so I am waiting a little bit longer to start round 3. I had no issues with it peeling up at all this time, but I also put the tegaderm strips on right after applying embrace this time. Last time it was a few days after applying embrace. Excuse the redness below the incision line, I ended up with some razor burn after shaving... Oops.

Thanks for the update! Still looking very good for this stage of your scar healing. When feeling itchy I found it helpful to take antihistamines and rub a little Benadryl cream along the edges of my strips. I was also careful not to stretch the tagaderm which also cause itchiness if it’s pulling on the skin. Good luck with the next round. :-)
Thank you! And good advice! I will try the antihistamine :) I bought the tegaderm roll and I found it very easy to apply and it didn't really stretch.
Your results are so fantastic. I still find it hard to believe that you are only three months out and your tummy is so flat and so awesome. The scar therapy seems to be working too. I'm really pleased for you. [RS bleep]
Thank you hun! I credit the little to no swelling to my water intake and I avoid salt like it's the plague lol im very happy with the scar therapy :)
Thanks or sharing! I was wondering about Embrace. Your scar is looking great!
Thank you! I'm very pleased with it so far :) I would definitely check their website for discounts and deals. They currently have a flash sale going on today :)

10 days done!

I ended up taking the Embrace sheets off in the shower last night. They came of easy with a little soap and water. I had adhesive remover ready for this as I had planned on waiting until this morning to take them off, but the sheets had different plans apparently. I had no issue getting them off, but they do pull a little on the hair that was under them. It really just felt like taking off a bandaid. I have naturally oily skin, not to mention I sweat all day every day in the heat as I work outside. They didn't stay put as well as I had hoped, but that may be due to operator error. I thought I prepared my skin as directed, but I will spend a little extra time with that upon reapplication tonight. The timing work out well as I have my 3 month post appointment next Friday and they will be off in time for that. I did notice the incision is considerably flatter now which im super happy with! On to round 2!

Your scar looks very good. Glad the Embrace is working well for you. :-)
Thank you! I am too :) there's no real visible difference in my opinion, but I can feel with my fingers that it is much flatter than when I started :)
I'm so glad it's going well for you. I'm not sure they offer therapy like that here. It's obviously too soon for me anyway...
Thank you :) You could try ordering it online. As far as I know, you can only get it on the Embrace website.
Thanks sweetie! [RS bleep]
You're welcome doll! You'll be ready for scar therapy before you know it!

Day 6

So it's day six and for the most part the sheets have held up well. Before I could get the Tegaderm strips on, I did get some moisture buildup on the right side close to the hip bone and have a section that is not sticking. Now that the Tegaderm is on, I did not get any extra moisture under the Embrace sheets with last nights shower. Four more days and I will remove everything and post a picture :)

I'm so glad you're doing a review of Embrace! I used it and loved it (except for the cost! ha!). I think I'll wait til I'm a full year post op to post an Embrace-specific review, but like you, I was worried about my scarring. I think it helped my scars flatten considerably and I thought it was a bit easier to manage than putting on a cream 2x day. I can't wait to see your progress pics!
I'm definitely hoping that my scars flatten and don't widen any further. So far I've been happy with Embrace from what I can see with the strips on. I just realized that I only have a 30 day supply and not a 60 because you have to use three sheets to get all the way across the stomach and the box has 9 sheets. So if I'm happy after 30 days with how things are looking I will order another 60 day box. I'll be posting pictures in a couple days after I take the strips off :)
