WORTH IT$9,000
I went to Dr. Le for a primary rhinoplasty based on reviews I read about him here on RealSelf.com. Most of his business is based on rhinoplasty work and I wanted a doctor that really knew what he was doing. I also felt that his work seemed more subtle than most of the other doctors I'd researched, which I also found attractive.
My consultation was great and I was happy that Dr. Le did a lot of asking and listening rather than offering his opinion about how my nose should look. His only suggestion was to broaden my bridge slightly to improve my breathing. (I was a seasonal allergy sufferer with chronic congestion and a mucous-producing contact point in my narrow bridge) I agreed with him and incorporated that suggestion into our plan and simulations.
The surgery itself was 8 hours long, because my case was particularly complicated. I, obviously, don't remember any of it, but I woke up breathing just fine. Dr. Le doesn't use packing, so I didn't struggle with much post-op discomfort at all. After the first day, swelling gave me some congestion, and I needed pain meds for the first 3 or 4 days, but it really wasn't bad. Having my wisdom teeth out was a lot worse.
It has been about a year since my surgery, and I'm very happy with the results. Most of the people around me don't notice that I look different at all, but my over-projected nose that I'd become so hung up on has been replaced with a less-bulbous, perfectly functioning nose that is much better balanced with the rest of my face. It's weird having a feature that makes you self-conscious just go away. I love my nose now, and I don't worry about having my picture taken from an unflattering angle. My new nose doesn't have any unflattering angles.
I never thought I was the "type" of person to get plastic surgery at all, and sometimes I still can't believe I did it, but it was so easy and it has changed my life so much for the better, I would absolutely do it again tomorrow.

Dr. Le was friendly and professional and very pleasant to work with. He listened to my concerns and desires for the procedure and answered all my questions. I chose him because I felt like his work looked more subtle and natural than other doctors in my region. The procedure was long (for him - I was a complicated case, he actually had to widen my bridge while narrowing the tip of my nose) but the post-op was really easy (easier than recovering from wisdom teeth, by a mile). Now, one year later, I love my new nose and I breathe better than I ever have. I was worried, before I started looking for doctors, that I'd end up with the same nose every other rhinoplasty patient gets (I call it the #2 special) but my new nose is distinctly mine, just better. Most of my family and friends don't really notice that I look different at all, but I'm so much happier with my appearance and the way my facial features are balanced. Dr. Le is amazing!
