Fantastic Results from a Wonderful, Caring Surgeon - Elland, GB

After feeling self-conscious & old with my saggy turkey neck & dark puffy eyes for over 5 year, I made an appointment at Spire clinic Elland to meet Mr Mahajan in August 2016. From the start he made me feel comfortable with his relaxed soft spoken way. He discussed what realistic changes he could make for me, a face/neck lift procedure & upper & lower blepharoplasty on my eyes & he also told me honestly all the things which could go wrong with surgery so I was in no doubt this was a serious under taking. His honesty reassured me that he had my best interest s in mind. The cost would be £7130 & the procedure was booked to be done a month later. He wanted to ensure I had a few weeks to finally think my decision through before the operation so I didn’t feel rushed into anything. In mid-September I had the operation at Spire Clinic Elland. Mr Mahajan visited me early on the morning of the operation to go through what would happen. I was very scared but hoped it would all be worth it. I was told the operation may take 4 to 5 hours but in the end Mr Mahajan worked on me for 7 hours as he said he had wanted to do a good job. When I woke after the operation my eyes were taped closed, my head all secured in a support bandage, a heavy ice pack on my head & drains from behind my ears &, I admit, I felt claustrophobic & frightened. It was very quiet & I had a bit of a panic attack but the nurse came & held my hand, reassured me & put the TV on for some noise. I was well cared for by the staff at Spire Elland during the night & the following morning Mr Mahajan visited & said I could go home & return to see him back in clinic in 10 days. I won’t lie, the following week was very uncomfortable as the bruising & swelling came out & all I wanted to do was wash my hair but it wasn’t painful, just uncomfortable. I did say “never again” at this point & wondered what I’d done as I looked at myself in the mirror all swollen & black & blue but after 2 weeks when Mr Mahajan took out the stitches & removed the dressings I could see the amazing results & I had no doubt I had done the right thing. Now, 3 months after the operation, I am thrilled with the results. The face looking back at me in the mirror is not an old, tired looking 54 year old but a confident, younger version of me who now looks like the woman I feel inside. I would very much like to thank Mr Mahajan for his caring approach & his wonderful skills & can highly recommend him as a caring surgeon.
