Final Update (About One Year)

About a year post procedure, I can say with 100% certainty that Ellacor scarred me. I’m left with pinhole scars in the shape of the Ellacor machine. Perfect grids of pinholes. Working with my provider on a solution hasn’t been fruitful, and they still regularly post Ellacor (the device, not before and afters) on their socials as some miracle, no scarring fast lift.

I’ve gotten two VI Peels through my dermatologist, and have been on tazarotene for about three months. Minimal changes. Hoping with proper nutrition, time and topicals they won’t be noticeable to me anymore.

If you are considering Ellacor I advise against it. The device is not scarless for everyone.

Eight Months Post

Eight months post Ellacor and my little grid marks are finally gone. I am however still left with orange peel texture, and tiny little red dot scars in the pattern of the microcores. You read that right, my cores didn't seal, they scarred. You can go to the best provider you can find, if you're body hates a procedure it will let you know. I have not gotten any discernable tightening after my only treatment. I'm envious of all of the positive reviews. This was an awful thing to have done to my face, and I am, of course wondering how this will effect how I age going forward.

One Month Update

Wanted to give a quick update one month out from Ellacor. I’m still firmly in the category of not worth it. My squares are still apparent, skin texture is ruddy and you can still see the holes where the device went in. Went for my follow up on Tuesday and was asked if I noticed any tightening. No, I don’t see anything that could be construed as positive results. Decided against light / laser because I don’t want to accidentally make things worse. Back to my normal skincare routine as of this morning. Tried a topical steroid like another user suggested but I started breaking out; so ceased.

To anyone considering this procedure. If you fall out of the typical recovery window, there is no telling when your face will clear. Extended red marks can be distressing, I could have recovered from a full face lift by now.

Minimal results for the price, I would have been okay with. Track mark squares one month out to ??? Makes this recovery far too long to be worth it.
