Elated with Revision Canthoplasty Results
WORTH IT
Having had a transcutaneous lower blepharoplasty in the late “90’s”, I’ve been plagued with all the issues associated with this outdated procedure...noticeable scars, hollowness, retraction, rounding of outer canthus, & dry eyes! Devastated & regretful to say the least! I’ve had many, many plastic surgery consultations through the years regarding my eyes, some offering their suggestions. Fast forward to “2018”, I had a bilateral canthoplasty. I developed chemosis postop, after a short time I continued to have retraction and eye irritation like sand paper sensation! What followed was frequent eye drop usage & before bed routine of eye lubricant & eye mask. Summing up all my experiences and what I learned along the way is, not all Oculoplastic surgeons are the same! I began my search again!! I would have to find an Oculoplastic, ASOPRS surgeon with the training, know-how, and that their practice includes treatment of certain specific complex, complicated eye issues! Dr. Straka was kind, understanding, honest, and the perfect match! No need to look any further!!! Dr. Straka & his staff (Christina) got the ball rolling. I had a revision right eye canthoplasty done 1st, followed by my left eye 3 weeks later. The whole process went smooth from start to finish! My results & recovery were amazing with no complications or chemosis! Importantly my eyes feel & look great again! Dr. Straka & his staff exceeded my expectations. I have found the Dr. who can follow me throughout life with any issues, concerns, or needs. I can not thank him enough from the bottom of my heart! If this can help anyone...look no further! Dr. Strakas skill and talent are tops and the Dr. you can trust!
