So....I have been using this site almost daily...

WORTH IT$26,000
So....I have been using this site almost daily lately, to get a clear expectation of my upcoming surgeries. I have been on the roller coaster of gaining weight and losing weight for way too many years. (Unfortunately losing Weight was relatively easy for me) I continued to put weight back on because I'd become so discouraged with all the excess skin, I'd gain some back and at least things would be "firmer"
I have lost all my weight naturally. I've tried EVERYTHING! However now, I have come to the realization of the health aspects, and wouldn't even consider spending this amount of money if I was not SURE I am "healed" Andy to get off this roller coast!!!
I'm 5'6" and currently weigh 146. My high weight was 211 during pregnancy.
If I had a lesson to teach, yo yo weight leaves you with no laxity in your skin. ( at least for me)
I have been weighing doing this journal, and decided how can I not pay forward, this site has been incredibly helpful to me! I can only hope my journey can help others with theirs!
My surgeries are early Wednesday morning, July 5th (yes,I made sure my surgeon did not have a big party the night before.)
I will post my before pics tomorrow !

UPDATED FROM MelissaB333
5 days post

At first, my husband was concerned we may have bit off too much....

MelissaB333
Sorry for delay updating....here is the overall for the first 5 days post surgery.
During the pre-surgery markings, Dr. Reynolds advised me that a crescent/groin incision thigh lift would not do enough to make me happy, so I agreed to a vertical incision, begging for him to be as conservative as he could with scar lengths and positions, but do what was necessary. Same begging it's my arms. His assistant Norma is so amazing! As a woman I felt confident she understood exactly what I was wanting with my breast...perky full C, I just don't have an interest in my boobs entering a room ahead of me. Lol Originally we were shooting for a 330 cc implants, but Norma and Doctor Reynolds felt they were too big, so during the surgery exchanged for a 310cc Allegan Natrella smooth moderate profile. So far, I'm very pleased.
Then there was my back liposuction......As I understand, after I was in the OR, under anesthesia- Dr. not sure if he had begun liposuction yet, it he came out to my husband to discuss what the results would look like post and he felt for me to have the best results, and best contour, I needed to have an excision of the excess skin there as well. My husband agreed. So guess what I have.... nice long incision across my back. To be honest, I'm not sure I'd of allowed it, but what's done is done, and I can either be positive and thankful that these two men wanted me to be the happiest I possible could be with the results or resentful.....either way, won't change it now!
So as you can imagine, my 7 hour surgery turned into close to 11 or 12.
We were first at the surgery center at 5:45 am and the last to leave at 9pm.
First 2 days were very tuff for my hubby. I had to sleep at an incline with my legs and head and on a long incision across my back. I felt very frustrated and almost trapped, not being able to move without GREAT pain everywhere.. oh and sitting on the potty- that was pure hell the first 2 days( siting on fresh incisions)
But we made it thru!
Then Day 3.
We unwrapped all the bandages, took out the foam padding, and removed the gauze.....I couldn't believe I hadn't torn anything open!!! With that relief and a sponge bath, I was a new person. And my improvement and been amazing! Important thing to note as well......
From the night of the surgery starting only a few ours after arriving home, I started walking laps of my house. Now every hour, I spend 15 minutes walking. I accredit this to having such a quick recovery so far. I drink lots and lots of water, and focus on getting protein in. I have had swelling no my torso is definitely bloted but it seems to subside after a few walking trips and water in between. The pictures I'm adding re from the first "unwrapped" session. Full shower tonight, so I will update them tomorrow!!
If any questions I be happy to answer.

I think you look amazing and I am so happy for you! Your implants look fantastic and really shaped symmetrically. Mine were high and almost square at first but they dropped into place soon after. My PS had me massage them each a little differently but that helped them come into place nicely. Congratulations on your wonderful transformation.

Thank you! Mine are high and square as well right now too, I am posting diff angles no you will see.... how soon did you start massaging?

Your open disclosure and honesty is very fulfilling to read. thank you so much for all these notes. I look forward to doing the exact same surgery in a year or two. Next week I have my abdominoplasty with lipo after losing 160 pounds in the last 16 years. I have another 100 to go, but the relief of letting go of this 30# belly bag will make that happen. I'm am extremely happy for you and your husband. Every happiness to you as you continue to recover well and gain life and love.

Thank you so much for your kind words!! Congratulations on your journey as well. I had a reconstructive abdominoplasty around 15+ years ago as well (after my second c-section, I carried my 2 yr old and then my baby passed away from SIDS) so I shredded my abdominal muscles and had a hernia. My advice to you for that surgery is Patience & a comfy recliner! ;)) & let the drains be your friends, and start walking as soon as you possibly can...5-10 mins every hour or so to start (I strongly believe this helps more than pain meds!) And I have Learned from this site... tape a marble in your belly button I didn't know about that so mine is somewhat flat. I had a little liposuction with this surgery, to me the worst part of that was wearing the foam pads-made me HOT, however, you'll appreciate the "hug of support" they give too! I am exactly a month from surgery, and am amazed at my recovery, after the first few days, Ive improved exponentially every day! I literally had 15 mins of feeling down after, but I'm a strong believer in Positivity, and I feel that's a big ingredient in recovery!

Hi. A marble. I had not searched for anything about belly buttons. I will follow your advice. Walking immediately. Yes, I'll be all over that. I can't see the pics you've posted for some reason. Ive tried everything. So, I'll assume you're absolutely gorgeous now. I'll see about posting here after my surgery. I've taken plenty of before shots. Photos are so inspiring. Although it's after the fact, I am so sorry for the loss of your child to SIDS. My brother experienced same. Healing and love to you, always. Love, Mally
