Not allergic to adhesive, allergic to sutures!!
WORTH IT$4,000
Ok so I had my follow up appointment with Dr. Sozer on Monday the 1st. Everything was looking great. On the 4.5 hour ride home though I started itching really badly. On my sides and near my inframammary incisions. By the time I got home I was an itchy rashy mess! Like itching to the point of causing my forearms to cramp. This was how I was all week if I didn't use any hydrocortisone. *Fast foreword to Thursday I decided to see a dermatologist, as soon as he say me and I had explained to him that I had previously thought I was allergic to adhesive and my short round or prednisone he said he thought it was actually an allergy to the sutures. He called Dr. Sozer and told him and he agreed. So now I've been prescribed a gradually dropping dose of prednisone, along with a steroid ointment and told to take Allegra in the morning and Zyrtec at night. All of this for the next two weeks. *My next follow up with Dr. Sozer is May 15th and my follow up with the dermatologist is May 18th.

Fast forward to Monday & Tuesday 7 & 8 days post op
Ok so Monday 4/23/17, I had an appointment with my local county clinic provided by my employer. Prior to my appointment, I had spoken with a nurse that works with me described some of my symptoms, my allergy theory and she had given me a Benadryl, the severe itching and burning stopped. *Fast forward to my appointment: Upon initially seeing my arms the Dr. said it was an infection, then I told her what happened, my theory and why I didn't believe it was and infection at all and my experience with the Benadryl and I showed her my incisions and she quickly agreed that they looked like they were healing fine and she too believed that it was an allergic reaction. She prescribed me Prednisone, a steroid to help with allergic reactions and swelling, suggested I used hydrocortisone for the itching and continue taking Benadryl for the allergic reaction (needless to say at I had already stopped covering the incisions at this point). She scheduled me to return The following morning to see if there was any change and if she needed to prescribe me something more. *Fast forward to Tuesday, she said that they seemed to be doing much better. I told her that they were starting to respond to the ice treatment (before when I would use an ice pack, you could touch them immediately after removing the ice and they were just as hot as before and melting the ice packs). I was sent on my way. I feel like I need to mention that upon returning to work only 1 week after, the swelling had started to move down to my left forearm. I felt like the Nutty Professor. This was due to my increased activity from returning to work so soon (heartless, blood sucking [RS bleep], that's another story). *Later that afternoon, I received a call from Dr. Sozer's office asking how I was doing. I explained to the girl everything that had happened since Sunday and she seemed really concerned and said that I needed to come in today (it's a 4.5 hour drive) and that the doctor would want to see me immediately. I explained to her that I had a follow up appointment with him on Monday May 1st and that I had already seen a dr. twice and that my arms were looking much better than they had Sunday when I sent he photos. She asked for more photos for Dr. Sozer to review and these were the ones I sent. After some time, I received a call from her saying that the Dr. had seen them and stated that they had improved since he last saw them and that I did not need to come in till my scheduled appointment on Monday.
