Treatment #2

Treatment #2 was easier than the first one. I knew what to expect and also how my face was going to react so i wasn't as nervous. Dr. used the same laser strength but she went over my deeper scars more times. This caused more redness than the first time and a little blister on my left cheek bone. Pain was less during and after, today is day one after the second procedure and I can see that even though it was much redder, it is fading faster :)

After an intense search for a non invasive...

After an intense search for a non invasive treatment for my problem I found picosure. I had my first treatment in January and had my second treatment Today 2/22/15. I was holding back on writing a review until i finished with all 4 treatments but I can honestly say its working. Each treatment for my entire face costs $400 but my dermatologist has this promotion where if you pay 3 treatments all at once you get a 4th one free, so basically you are paying $300 for each. I wasn't sure what to expect the first time, event though I had an initial consultation I was not told, therefore was not prepared with the supplies I would be needing after the procedure so it was a bit stressful. I was given a list of products to stop using and was told to stay out of the sun and use sunscreen spf 50 or higher when going out side. On the day of my first treatment my Dr. told me i would be a bit red for a couple of hours BUT it was actually 3 days. At least for me this was not a zero down time procedure I was barricaded inside my house the entire weekend with a red face, it was more like a bad sun burn. If i had to rate the pain during the procedure from 1 to 10, 10 being the worst I would say a 7. But the pain subsided after 1hr and it was more of a discomfort. I was instructed to moisturize my face twice a day and use a gentle face wash. I used the Neutrogena extra gentle cleanser, the Cetaphil for dry, sensitive skin lotion and the neutrogena pure & free liquid sunscreen in spf 50. The week following my procedure my face was darker than before and dry, really dry. Still a bit red but nothing a little make up didn't cover up. All in all I can say it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I noticed my acne scars not being as visible and my dark spots started to fade specially on my forehead area. My expression lines where also less visible. This is a treatment that does work but you will notice the difference gradually.

I am so glad that you decided to share your journey with us now so we can cheer you on. It's also great to document your treatments while in progress as you will be sure to capture all the details. I am curious, what products were you advised to stop using? Glad you are already seeing good results, what type of acne scarring do you have? We would love for you to share photo or videos to your review, but only if you feel comfortable doing so. I look forward to your updates, good luck!

Hi I was advised to stop using Retin-A, Treitinoin, Retinol or Glycolic Acid 4 weeks prior to and in between treatments. Also no sun exposure, tanning beds or sunless tanning creams. I dont use any of these so I was good to go....I have mild ice pick scarring on my cheeks and of course those pesky brown spots.
Hi there, Your results look great so far! Would you be able to post some pictures/results a little bit later in the process? I am looking to have the same procedure done, but am having trouble finding reviews because the technology is so new. Thanks!
The place where I am looking to get this done explained how they will numb the eyes a little and place some oversized metal "contacts" in my eyes to be able to get really close around the eyes. Did they put the metal "contacts" in your eyes?
