I had no periferral vision. Eyelids were covering half of my eyes making it difficult to see properly. It was making me look much older than I was. I was told by Dr Mata I had "the worst case of droopy eyebrows" that he had ever seen. I needed the brows lifted & the eyelids fixed. I am so glad I had this done. My case was so severe that Tricare paid for all of it. This was the best decision. I am very happy with the results.

The 5 incision laparoscopic. The brows were below the brow bone. They are now up above the brow bone where they belong.

Yes I am very pleased. I wanted it done for medical reasons, but really like the way it took 10 years off my looks. Ha Ha

You results do look beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing your experience on RealSelf! Yay for insurance paying for it. Looks like that was definitely warranted. How long was it before your bruising went away?

Your results look great! Did you have any work done on your lower eyelids or was all the bruising from the browlift and upper eyelid surgery?

No surgery on lower lids. Would have liked it but was not covered by Tricare.

Are you having any problems with scalp itching or hair loss? I've read so much about that.

I have had some dropping of the eyebrows since the swelling has completely gone. I also have little bumps on both sides of my head @ the temples, which are very painful when touched wrong way. I'm supposed to be having another surgery to address this.

You look really good!! Years younger!! I have a question about your pain at temples. Did you have the endotynes (permanent sutures) that stay in your head after surgery?? Usually attached by screws into the skull from what I understand. I really want a browlift but there seem to be so many different options on how they can do it and so many different complications like what you are having now. Please continue to post how this is corrected. The information that you and others put in this site is so very helpful!!!

I do not know exactly what was done at the temples. That is one of the things that Dr. McLaughlin will be checking when he does my surgery on June 18.

I am scheduled for the corrective surgery on June 18, 2015. I hope Dr. McLaughlin is able to remove more of the excess skin & fatty tissue in my lids. I will have the procedure done under twilight anesthesia so he can talk to me & have me open & close my eyes to make sure they are being done right this time.

He will probably not do anything for the brows at this time. Just wants to see what is going on at the temples right now.

Good luck tomorrow! I know a lot of people who needed a second surgery to get their eyes right, so you do have a lot of company.

I spelled my new PS's name wrong. It's O'Laughlin.

Dr O'Laughlin decided to put me out completely. He came in to pre op room & marked with a pen all of the cut lines on my eyelids. So glad I was put all of the way under.
