BOTCHED FILLERS & HYALURONIDASE DAMAGE

ORIGINAL POST

Effects of Hyaluronidase

PANDORA2804
Had 4 mls of Emervel dermal filler injected into my cheeks and nasolabial folds in 2015 as recommended by a cosmetic doctor. Hated the results. Had multiple treatments of Hyaluronidase over the last 4 years and it sill won't dissolve. I have MRI results to prove it. My face has been constantly changing dramatically over the last 4 years. The Hyaluronidase excellerated the ageing process, my skin is stretchy and droopy. I have hollowed deep dents under my eyes. My cheeks have sunken in. Ive always taken good care of my skin but now I've aged before my time because of the Hyaluronidase and it's just going to get worse.

God I’m so sorry I’ve also got a sagging face after just 50units. How many units did you have? I’m devastated I was ageing well now I think I will have to have a face lift to fix it and I’m only 41. What treatments have you tried? I have had one PRP and it has helped the wrinkles caused by hyaluronidase I’m going to have another one but it’s costing a fortune. I still have sagging skin at the side of my mouth and my face is thinner I’ve lost all my fat too.

I'm not sure how many units I've had injected. The notes say 2.5mls and then 3.5mls which was a few years ago. I had a lot injected in Dec 2018 but not sure how much. One week after the Dec 2018 Hyaluronidase treatment it was very noticeable that my face was collapsing with deep dents under my eyes. I can't afford other treatments to fix this. I doubt this can be repaired, the damage is done. I'm taking the cosmetic clinic to court to get a refund and hopefully they will be fined. Hyaluronidase is also used for the treatment of cellulite, that explains why the natural fat/tissue has been destroyed.

My main concern over the last few years was the uneven and unnatural looking nasolabial folds I ended up with after having 4mls of dermal filler. ( you can see my other posts and photos on realself regarding dermal fillers and Hyaluronidase ) I did notice that my face was dropping over the last few years but it never occurred to me that it was because of the Hyaluronidase. I noticed the extreme changes in my face after having the large dose of Hyaluronidase in Dec 2018, that's when most of the damage occurred. That's when I finally put two and two together. The doc recently sent me an email requesting I go back for larger doses of Hyaluronidase because he thinks the dermal filler will finally dissolve after 4 years. Is he serious???? It has not gotten better over time, it just gets worse and worse for me. I look ok front on in photos but as soon as I drop my head forward, it's a shocking sight. Too embarrassed to post the current photos on realself. I'm from Melbourne, Australia.

The treatment plan was 12mls of dermal filler in 12 months. I had no idea at the time that that's an abnormal amount. I made a complaint to the owner of the clinic and he admitted that 12mls of dermal filler would cause my face to explode. I have the treatment plan as evidence. It's not going to get better on its own, it's quite obvious that the only thing that can fix this is a facelift.

This is exactly what I’ve experienced after having my temples over filled by Dr.Pancholli. The filler migrated all over so hyaluronidase had to be used to remove. I’m almost a year post bad filler and this had aged me and my lower face is now thin also. I recently started taking wheat grass shots and am noticing a bit of difference

I can't believe how common this is, I though I was just one of the very few who happened to be misfortune. This is happening to so many women and these doctors are getting away with it. They all promise that we will look younger yet we are ageing before our time. I'm sorry to hear you have experienced this like so many others. I'm sick of their lies, always blaming the ageing process but in actual fact it's their botched treatments that are to be blamed.

I’m terribly sorry for you and everyone else who’s suffering. This has been life altering. There’s times where I won’t even go to the gym or leave the house. I’ve had to give up running as my face looks more gaunt afterwards. I’m to embarrassed to post public photos as anyone would be shocked. I had gone from beautiful to not even looking like myself. Recently I’ve seen someone who is helping improve my face, she’s here in Nevada, it’s bedn a long process but slowly looking a little better but will never be as I was either.

What have you been doing to improve your face? I'm also going through this.

I'm the same, I'm a very social person and love hitting the dance floor but I don't go dancing anymore because I've lost my confidence. When you look good, you feel good but when you hate the way you look, depression kicks in and you end up missing out. My face has changed a million times in the last 4 years and I refuse to be in photos unless I take it to keep as a record. How is it possible to turn so ugly in a matter of a few years? It's devastating. It been consuming me all day long for the last 4 years.

I don't know how to fix this besides having a facelift. I've heard of Hyaluronic Acid tablets but don't know which ones are the best. I've tried collagen powder which wasn't bad but it's only temporary. I don't know what to try. I've been to plastic surgeons about my face and they say I have body dysmorphia, geez, I wonder why? Any ideas on how to fix this?

I’ve had several clear and brilliant and just had the PRP vampire facial a week ago. I do not look like myself either. I have an ever changing face!
I can email you photos but don’t want to place photos publicly, you’ll be shocked. I do know exactly what your going through! I have been using the skin medica HA 5 and have seen improvement underneath my eyes, I’m not sure if this is temporary or actually continue helping the hollowness. Also, infrared Saunas May dissipate whatever is left in your face then you may be able to start from scratch using vobella which i feel is more natural I know I’ll never look like I did prior to having bad filler removed. Etc

I want to see a certain dermatologist who is also a professor and hopefully he can give me some answers. I know I need a lot of treatments but can't afford it atm. I had a look at skin medica HA 5 and it looks good but I think I'll wait and see what the dermatologist recommends first regarding a skincare range. I wasn't aware saunas could do that, I think I'll look into that out of curiosity. I've decided against fillers, I'm never injecting my face again, I've learnt a very big lesson the hard way. I'm pretty sure if we could all turn back time and have a second chance, most of us would never touch this stuff if we knew what we were going to end up looking like.

It's very depressing, I've always taken good care of my skin and it's now damaged beyond repair by a reputable cosmetic clinic.

Has anyone had success with PRP?
October 18, 2019

It has taken me more than 8 years to finally feel comfortable and confident to post a review about Gavin Chan. In 2015 I went to the Victorian Cosmetic Institute & was talked into having 4mls of filler injected into my cheeks & nasolabial folds by self appointed cosmetic medicine specialist Dr Somaiye Kadivar. I was told it would lift my cheeks & that the filler was temporary & would last between 12-18 months. Once the procedure was over I looked in the mirror & noticed one cheek was higher while the other cheek was lower & further out from my nose. My nasolabial folds were arched, crooked, unnatural & everytime I smiled my cheeks would pop out like golf balls. I hated the results because the filler added volume instead of a lift like I requested. I made a complaint to Gavin Chan who said it was easily & instantly reversible by injecting Hyaluronidase which is used off label to dissolve fillers. After several attempts over the coming days & weeks it was quite obvious that the filler was still present. On one occasion Gavin Chan dissolved my tear troughs via the cheeks yet I never had filler in my tear troughs to begin with. On another occasion while injecting Hyaluronidase he also started to inject filler into my temple without prior warning. When I asked him why he was injecting my temple he told me he was compensating me for my troubles yet never mentioned that the temple is a danger zone & a risky area to inject. In total I had 6mls of filler injected into my face within 19 days, yet on the Victorian Cosmetic Institute's website it states that 1ml of filler is enough for the entire face. On each occasion Gavin Chan never informed me of the risks, dangers & complications associated with Hyaluronidase & never gave me a consent form to read and sign. A few years later I had a consultation with Professor Mark Ashton who is an expert in filler complications & he told me that if the filler hadn't dissolved by now than it was permanent. He gave me a referral for an MRI of the head which can detect the exact amount of filler & the exact location of the filler. The MRI report stated that I still had upto 4mls of filler in my face even after all the dissolving sessions over the many years. Gavin Chan then decided to look into MRl's & the longevity of fillers after I informed him of my MRI result & capitalised on it by making a YouTube video claiming he made this discovery. In the meantime I noticed that my facial structure had collapsed, I developed deep hollows under my eyes, my cheeks caved in, my marionette lines were deep, long & dragged down. The corners of my lips sunk into my mouth & my skin was extremely loose, saggy & stretchy all the way down to my neck. Hyaluronidase did not dissolve my fillers but instead permanently dissolved my connective tissue as it can't distinguish between the skin's own HA & the HA in dermal fillers. Hyaluronidase has aged my facial features by 10 years & only a full facelift & necklift can fix this. In 2019 & 2020 I took Gavin Chan to VCAT requesting a refund & a corrective advertising order because his website falsely advertised that the temporary fillers they use last anywhere between 12-18 months. Gavin Chan was granted lawyers on the grounds that his business reputation was at stake while I had to represent myself. I cross examined him with over 90 questions & I presented over 100 pages of supporting evidence & documentation while he only had photos & amended clinical notes. The hearing was held over 2 days & my claims were eventually dismissed by the judge. Gavin Chan got away with not providing me with a consent form for Hyaluronidase on each occasion. I hold Gavin Chan responsible for destroying my looks & my life. The self appointed cosmetic surgeon as he once claimed to be isn't even a GP, he is just a medical practitioner & in my opinion has a special interest in portraying himself as the master of cosmetic injectables in an unregulated industry. Gavin Chan is an injectable junkie, obsessed with the syringe & makes no apologies for ruining my life.

After 6 treatments of Hyalouronidase under my eyes i got wrinkles at 24 even though filler still looks the same! But after researching i found out that hyalouronidase destroys hyalouronic acid, collagen, peptides, elastin and fat

And i managed to fix my under eye area after 1-2 months! Heres how

Every night I was applying matrixyl, its the best peptide and it increases elastin and collagen mostly

After 15 mins i would apply volufiline, which helps fat multiply and trust me it works!! It made my breasts big too!!

Then after 15 mins i would apply castor oil which contains proteins that stimulate collagen production ajd i truly believe that it helped the most! This and vitamin c
Which i would apply every morning

However i would apply all of them and use a derma 0.5 mm derma roller after so they go as deep as possible, I would just use it for 30 secs every time

I never managed to get rid of all my filler, apparently sometimes especially the under eye one merges with the skin tissue so its impossible to remove all of it

But some people online took serrapeptase for scars and they complained that it made their filler dissolve
I didnt try it because i have a crazy amout of filler in my cheeks and im scared

I really hope i help ! Im happy i repaired my tear troughs
I thought i was going to stay like that:)

Hi there. Did your filler ever dissolve naturally?
April 8, 2025
No
February 18, 2025
Hi, no it hasn’t. I just had my 4th MRI and most of the filler is still there. August 13th of this year makes 10 years. Not happy.
