I went to Dr. Mangat in mid July, 2014 for fillers...

I went to Dr. Mangat in mid July, 2014 for fillers in my tear trough area and some botox. While I was there...He decided upon himself..to inject a solution into an acne spot I had on my forehead. He said "You will thank me tomorrow". I was unaware that he injected the acne spot due to I was having Botox on my forehead...but in that particular spot it hurt more then the other areas...that is when he explained what he was doing and why. To make a very unpleasant visit and story brief..I left quite upset, but before exiting, one of his assistants spent approx. 40 mins with me trying to talk me into getting some skin resurfacing. I was extremely upset at best and went on my way.

After the two week wait time..I called Dr. Mangat to let him know that ....I had ripples under both of my eyes and a diagonal hollowing under my right eye. Where my acne spot used to be...there was a golfball tea size dent. He said "I will do whatever you want, can you come in to see me" .. I told him I am going to consult another physician and I will contact him. I did so..then I took some time away...I emailed him stating that I will contact him upon my return.

I had an appointment with him today - September 11, 2014..almost 2 mos after my initial appt. The doctor I consulted with said to give it up to 2 mos...so I did just that.

In seeing him today...I addressed him of my concerns...the ripples have settled down..but, my diagonal hollowing was still present and NOW the acne spot in my forehead that he had injected without my knowledge went from a dent to a small bump. It is white with red around it...a small mass. I addressed these two issues with him...He said to me "how many fillers have u done"...I said "three"...he said "no how many ppl have u given fillers to" ... trying to insult my intelligence...He said "your lucky your a pretty lady, you don't have much to worry about"...I didnt quite know how to take that. He stated..."If you want to come back in approximately 6 weeks, and your bump is still there, I can ...SHAVE IT OFF". That was definitely not comforting and it didn't make me feel more comfortable, more like a block of cheese.

He was utilizing a lot of medical jargen which DID NOT go over my head..but I felt that if it indeed made him feel more masculine..then I will let him go on and on. He stated "I dont think you should get any more fillers" and I stated 'I have no intention of having you treat me for fillers whatsoever, or anything in the future" I am here to just let you see that...when ppl come to you Dr. Mangat, or any plastic Surgeon...they want to feel better...and do in some manner expect to leave better then when they entered your office.

I in "fact".....left with a dent then later a bump on my forehead..and a hollowing under my right eye after a two month period.

I didnt find him professional nor did I find any solution to the issues he has caused me...

Please be careful whom you have decided on as a plastic surgeon....Pretty or NOT!!!

First of all, I am sorry Ann T is disappointed in the care she feels she received by me and my staff in the Edwards office. We always strive to do the best we can and fortuntely the reviews and returning patients are indicative of that. When I saw Ann T last week, I felt she looked natural and the tear trough area was adequately and conservatively corrected having used only 1/2 cc of Restylane in each tear trough AND surrounding area. She had no lumps, depressions, swelling or bruising. The areas where Botox was injected, likewise, looked as good as one could expect with effective improvement of wrinkles and expression lines. I was disappointed that the bump on the forehead had returned after, according to Ann T, having flattened after the steroid injection. The fact that it has returned and may actually be worse means that an inflammatory process is going on that may need additional care if it doesn't resolve within 6 weeks or so. I offered Ann T to return for any additional care for the forehead bump and expressed concern that if it does not resolve we may want to have that tissue examined to make sure it is not anything to worry about. I am always available to discuss this if necessary.
