Just had the Zoom whitening done yesterday and am...
Just had the Zoom whitening done yesterday and am glad I did not read any reviews on the procedure beforehand, otherwise I might not have had it done!!!!
I woke up this morning and my teeth were the same as they were before my procedure except for one huge difference...
They are really white!!!
I am thrilled with the results as I was a heavy smoker for most of my life and my teeth were very yellow and stained....
On the teeth chart...little teeth they match up to your teeth..I was second to third from the end for yellow staining
After the process I was second from the brightest end so the results were much better than I had anticipated as the expected results were 3-4 levels lighter on average but they could not guarantee anything as everyone was different....
I had investigated zoom whitening previously at my Dentist's office but they said the cost of 500 Dollars plus tax would have to be paid in full beforehand and they did not allow monthly payments for the procedure...
I then saw a coupon in Groupon for the treatment for 169 at a Dentist's office close by and decided to purchase it...
I thought maybe they were going to try to say I needed to have my teeth cleaned and scaled beforehand...The coupon being a way to bring in new dental patients and was wondering??
The cost was supposed to include everything, a pre-consult appointment to determine suitability for procedure....
The consult went fine and she said I was a good candidate for the procedure...:)
I had it done yesterday and after reading the first few reviews on here my experience was typical in that halfway through the second 15 minutes I started to feel the zinging nerve pain in one bottom tooth...
The third and final 15 min was not much fun as half the time I was getting zingers...
After everything was removed and I saw My teeth I was amazed how much whiter they were!!!
My mouth hurt from 5PM on to the rest of the evening...
It was not constant pain but the zinging root pain came and went periodically most of the evening...I had a painkiller left over from previously and took that, it helped...
I slept fine through the night and felt no pain or more zingers...
I ate tuna with mayo on white bread for supper and felt no pain on eating...
The Dental Hygenist gave me a guide to take home which said I could only eat white foods for 48 hours until my teeth seal again...
No coffee this morning..:(
I read where some people were given bleaching trays and bleach to take home after??
I did not get any and wonder if that is normal...
So all in all I am thrilled and wonder how long the zoom treatment lasts for???
I would do it again..( in 3-4 years )

The Hygenist was very good and sealed my teeth very well as there was no burning pain or discoloratin on my gums..
