Microblading.... Trust the process!!!

Ok so I created an account JUST to leave this review because ANYONE considering doing this NEEDS to read this!!!
I just got my eyebrows microbladed 5 days ago. And honestly, I cried (not infront of the woman that did mine, in the car alone for 30 mins lol)! I HATED them. They were too big. Too thick too dark. I scowered the internet high and low desperate to find a way to quickly remove them. But reading that it was taking off layers of skin from people doing at home salt rubs and using hydrogen peroxide (sound familiar with a lot of other reviews you've been reading on here??), I decided I'd rather live with eyebrows I didn't like for a year than have them scarred up for the rest of my life! So I chose to just not do anything and cried by myself in the bathroom everytime I looked at them.
So why did I recommend this!? Because 5 days later I LOVE them!!!!!! They are healing so nicely!! I followed all the aftercare instruction to a tee. The scabs are flaking off really nicely. Not patchy and I'm not picking at them. And they've faded A LOT! Which I think was my hugest issue with them in the beginning and it seems to be the issue so many people on this site are complaining about as well. Also. Now that the scabs are coming off and the tattoo is really fading, the brows looks 10x thinner as well! Honestly. If you would have told me 4 days ago, that I would be writing a positive review for microblading, I would have told you that you are out of your freaking mind! Because I had honestly felt that I drew my eyebrows on with the fattest black sharpie I could find. And that I thought I looked like an angry 40 year old male! I didn't even want to go in public!
So here I am, the girl who's going to save you from running to grab that salt scrub or homemade baking soda concoction... LEAVE THEM ALONE. LET THE BROWS DO THEIR THING. WAIT AT LEAST A WEEK BEFORE DECIDING ANYTHING!!! Trust me! Don't even listen to anyone writting a bad review on here. If you've gone to a good microblading artist, trust in the process. Let it all happen. Your eyebrows are NOT going to look like what they look like now! I PROMISE!
And since I'm new to signing up to this site in not sure if you can contact me but if you can, feel free. And if not. And you're freaking out right now. STOP SEARCHING for a way to "fix" them. Turn off your internet device. Go to bed. And count down the days till you reach day 7. You will not be disappointed.

Thanks so much for posting this. I'd love to see pictures! I didn't do my eyebrows, but I had eyeliner done and I was feeling the same way. I asked for something very subtle, since I've never worn makeup in my life, but I'm starting to look washed out as I age. I asked for "eyelash enhancement" rather than a line, and I came home with a bold black slash under each eye. The make up artist promised me the same thing you are saying, and I've read a few reviews on here that express the same thing, but it helps to hear it again. I love your advice at the end, lol.

Amen! I agree 100%. I love mine, got them done 9 months ago! Best decision ever. Read read read & be prepared, then be patient. The best is yet to come! Trust the process!

Did you find there was a lot of pain with it? I'm getting mine done in a few weeks and have never had a tattoo or anything and am nervous for that

July 13, 2017
mine hurt a lot, but people say it is not supposed to hurt and that I just had a crappy numbing cream put on.
July 14, 2017
I had a numbing cream applied. I didn't feel a thing. But it is a very WEIRD feeling lol. Like when you are numb at the dentist. You feel like you should feel it, but you don't. I felt some scratches by the end but it feels just as that. Scratches. Not the MOST comfortable feeling, but also, it's pretty much done by the time you feel that so I think even someone with the lowest pain tolerance really could just sit there for an extra few minutes like that. I have a tattoo and a tattoo hurt WAY worse than this haha. Good luck!!!

Thank you. I'm on day 3 and a bit panicked. I trust the technician that did my brows. She's the best of the best. But I feel like my brows are flaking and looking bald underneath. Hoping that in the end it will all turn out ok.

keep me updated. I just started a review. my brows are GONE. I am on day 7 and literally feeling like I blew my money.

AntiBoxgal...I read your review this morning and bookmarked it. Anxiously waiting for your update.
I know they say disappearing for a few days is part of the process. Let's hope that's all this is. Good luck!! Will keep in touch.

In my situation I did lose 90% of the color. I could still slightly make out the new shape but bc I had massive bald spots I had to fill them in all day and night. When I went to the 1month appointment she changed the ink to a darker color (which made sense after I had recently cut out all my summer highlights). She discussed my oily skin and the fact that I roll over into my face at night without realizing it. We also switched me from the wet heal to dry heal method. The second round went MUCH better. I have 2 smalls spots that I'm going in for a touch up next week. It's like the first appointment never happened.
In case anyone is reading this and is a face sleeper like I am...I bought a car ride neck pillow off Amazon. One that I could actually tie around my neck so it wouldn't fall off and for the first 5 nights I slept sort of sitting up in a recliner with the pillow. It kept me off my face and the scabs did not fall off prematurely. Kind of a pain in the ass nut so worth it. I am in love with my new brows. I have gotten so many compliments. People don't know what I did but they all say I look amazing. I even have siblings debating (behind my back) wondering if I had "work" done to my face bc I look "too good". Lol.

My problem is the opposite. I actually LIKED how they looked the day of. And have hated it ever since. The scabs came off and so did all of the pigment. There is literally NO sign that I had microblading at all. Maybe my artist was crappy, but I have my own review on here, and we will see.

I have been reading that the fade and come back. And also. I have a friend who didn't like that hers lightened up so much even after the first and second appointment. So she just goes more often for touchups to keep the boldness. That's what I like about these brows. They can be touched up and changed (within reason) to each individual's liking. I hope your color comes back!
