I had my consultation last month with Dr.Feng Chung and he was respectful and gave me the down low on the surgery. I've wanted this since i was young, my left labia is larger then the right. I am still unsure whether I want it completely cut, or not. I will perhaps post before and after pictures after the procedure :)! Also, does anyone know what method someone would have to get to get results like the pictures posted? My dream vagina right here !

Do you need labiaplasty for your majora (outer) as well?
I wonder why your doctor didn't tell you the method he would be using.

Labiaplasty on Thursday
CakesandpiesFebruary 9, 2016
So I'm going to get the labiaplasty this Thursday. I booked a week off of work, so hopefully that will be enough! I was wondering if I should take my clitoral hood peircing out for the surgery? I'm preparing my self and just a little nervous as I know it will be painful. I will post before and after pictures once it's all done. Wish me luck everyone ! Does anyone have any tips? Or opinions if I should leave the peircing in during surgery?

I would take the piercing out. It will be much easier now than if you are really swollen and hurting and it needs to come out after surgery! One less thing to worry about. Have your ice packs and meds ready. Have remade meals prepared. You don't want to have to stand up cooking when you are swollen and feeling pressure (pressure will be worse when standing for awhile). Lay down as much as you can for the first few days. Take it easy and don't overdo it. I was went back to work on day six amd was okay. I had to be careful of course, but I made it. Did you decide which method you want? Seems like you want wedge with the pics you posted. Are you using local or general anesthesia? If you are getting local, make sure you get a numbing cream beforehand. Good luck and keep us updated! Let us know if you have any other questions :)

Thank you so much ! I was wanting the wedge method, so I hope the doctor does this ( I should have found out before ). I'm going under general anesthesia. I'm going back to work 7 days after the surgery and then I'm working a job where I'll be standing 8 hours 8 days after the surgery, so my plan is to lay down as much as possible on my time off :)

Which method did you get iwantthestars? How was the pain/healing for when you went back to work ?

I had the wedge method. I didn't have much concern about coloring, wanted a more natural appearance and an easier recovery. I felt that the trim was just not for me. I saw so many pics where the sutures were too tight and the ladies had lots of bumps along the suture line. Make sure your surgeon is comfortable with the wedge method and knows this is what you want before you walk in the door for surgery! I'll be honest, you may have a lot of pressure once you are standing for eight hours. You'll probably need some pain meds (over the counter at least) for when you go back to work, but hopefully it's tolerable. For me, the recovery was much better than I anticipated. Sure, I had some pain and discomfort but I've been through much worse. I made sure to have my polysporin and was careful when sitting down (my job is more sedentary). I never needed to leave work early and never had any really bad moments. I stopped the over the counter meds the morning after surgery. My results aren't perfect - there are lumps and bumps I'm not happy with (I'm almost 9 weeks post op). I don't know how things are going to look once I'm totally healed and if I'll need a revision or not (I can still feel suture material that hasn't dissolved yet). I do not regret having the wedge though - there are others who had trim around the same time I had my surgery and they are still pretty swollen and hurting. So, I'm happy had had an easier recovery even if it potentially means I may need some additional work. The hardest part of this is having patience to see what you will look like. Sometimes it seems you don't have any change for days, then all of a sudden something changes overnight. Just try not to obsesses and check yourself out 20 times a day every day. Keep an eye on things to make sure nothing is going wrong and then stop looking for awhile and just let yourself heal. Easier said than done, of course we want to check our new lady out! Lol. Good luck to you - I hope everything goes smoothly for you :)

Happy to help. Please let me know if I can answer anything else. And seeing the pics you just uploaded, I would say you should definitely remove your piercing. I'm excited for you! I am the nervous type and thought I would be sick with nerves the day of surgery. But, I wasn't - I was just really excited because I had wanted the surgery for 20 years and knew I was beyond ready for it. I'm glad you are having the surgery while you are younger so you don't let this bother you for any longer. I hope your nerves are good on surgery day. At least you'll be under sedation so it'll go quickly for you :) Please post updates!

That's a very long time to wait! Better late then never though :). Thank you for being so supportive I really appreciate it. I hope i'm not nervous on the surgery day either! Both of my parents know so I feel like that comforts me a lot. Should be quick and i definately will post updates! I'm thinking it will be a while till it will start to look normal again but that is okay
