I spent a long time debating on whether to get implants or not. On one hand, I had little to no breasts and looked flat when wearing bralettes. I hated to wear bras because they were never comfortable when push ups and I would have to shuffle them so often to make sure my little boobs were in the right spot to make minimal cleavage... Honestly, wearing a tank top was work for me because I had to watch to make sure it looked ok. Hating bras led me to wearing bralettes all the time and looking like I had nothing. There were clothes I hated wearing because of how flat I looked etc. Overall I guess it was affecting my day to day.
I'm also a big boob girl, as in I love looking at boobs and think they are so nice haha. Who doesnt?!
I also read into breast implant illness and spent a long time panicking over this possibility... While it is a possibility and every PS should recognize it's a real thing, there are no studies to tell you the chances and I believe they are very minimal. I'm also an extremely healthy person who eats very well and is active. In the end I decided to note things wrong with me before and anything new I find over time. I'm glad in the end that I am aware of this because I will now watch and if I think they are causing problems, I will just explant and that is ok!
I'll post more day to day reviews below!

Consults
debatingandlearningFebruary 25, 2018
I went through 4 consults before I chose my PS. My first one was a Skype consult for someone in Beverly Hills, whom I was very interested in going to for just over $7000 US -translating to around $9000 CAD, not including travel etc. I spoke with a few more people about thinking of going to see this person and kept hearing of how no one in Canada would touch me if something happened... I knew if there was an infection I could just go to the hospital and have it dealt with but anything beyond that was a no. This worried me for multiple reasons and I would also have to travel back for a checkup eventually. I also called a PS here in Alberta and asked about going to someone in the states and they said how they couldn't say much but basically no one would correct in case. So, on to more local people.
I had a consult with 2 people in Calgary and 1 in Edmonton. My first consult (Dr. Waslen) was COMPLETELY different from my second and third. He was an older PS and the other two were younger. He wanted bigger size and a different incision sight. Overall, I didn't feel comfortable or confident in going with him, especially after talking to the other two. price was $12,000, which was what they also quoted me over the phone and he had many years of experience.
The second PS (Dr. Fong), seemed very knowledgeable but slightly condescending almost and like he didnt want to spend too much time with me. At the end I wasn't very excited for the procedure or him. His office was very nice and very fancy though. Price was $12,000, which was $1000 more than they said over the phone and I'm not sure why so high as he is young.
My third PS (Dr. Toy) was absolutely amazing. He was so kind, so smart, very down to earth and really took his time with me. I never felt rushed or criticized for asking the questions I had. I almost knew instantly that I wanted to book with him and thought he was the one. I chose him before I got my quote emailed, so it didn't play a factor BUT price- 9,300!!! Below what I was told on the phone.
I'm gonna give you ladies a big piece of advice that I learnt from all three surgeons and the head plastic surgeon of our PS committee... It's that it's a very simple procedure, they can't change your body and basically there is no difference between which PS you chose for how it will look in the end. Basically, ask them about their process and what they do to prevent things, as well as who you feel most comfortable with.

Interesting observation! I know your anatomy pre BA will greatly determine the outcome. I went to 4 consultations and asked all 4 if I could look similar to my wish pic with my current status. If they said no, I wouldn’t have gone ahead with it. I know that breast augmentation (especially primary) is probably one of the most common and straightforward procedure for plastic surgeons. However, having said that, I have seen great work here on RS, where the surgeon completely transforms the patient’s breast anatomy (fuller, more symmetrical, AND with perfect cleavage where as before patient had a wide gap). So although it is a straightforward procedure, the surgeon’s skills and experience are still needed, especially if you need a revision. Obviously you have to go with the one you’re comfortable with, but also make sure he has the technical skills as well as aesthetic eye to give you want you want.

My comment was in regards to a straight augmentation. They had mentioned that you can change the breast drastically if doing a lift of correction. Otherwise it is a straightforward procedure of putting the implant into the pocket. Fuller breasts are due to profile and symmetry is created by putting in two different implant sizes, both of these are a matter of choosing the right implant for the client and doesnt change the actual implantation. Cleavage typically isnt changed by opening the pocket, but can be done, usually the cleavage is created with a wider implant and is inevitable for some. This isnt my own personal opinion, the comment was from more than one surgeon themselves. Virtually i am saying that its their process you should consider most and that a straight augmentation wont alter your breasts completely.

Size

As you can see and read, I'm pretty petite.
My BWD is 11.00 and the size of implant was pretty consistent between the PS'. High profile 295cc, and I also had the option of High profile 265cc.
I chose 295cc in the end as it was only 30cc less and everyone talks about regretting going too small. I didn't struggle too much with picking a size because it was between just two and I was told by more than one PS that both would be good.
I wanted a very very natural look but also maybe a bit of a maybeline look (too hot to be born with it haha).
