Hi everyone :-) BA/BL long, long, long overdue ...

Hi everyone :-) BA/BL long, long, long overdue .... There's been a few bumps along the way, but now I'm finally getting it done. A few decades of hitting the weights, dieting and breast feeding 4 kids definitely didn't do me any favors in the cleavage department... lol.
Will be booking my surgery this month, so I'm hoping to have my surgery in June or July... fingers crossed!!!
5'9"
154lb ... (need to drop a few pounds to lean out by my surgery date.... I'm not fat... I'm in a bulking phase...lol.... gym joke for those of you who train)
rib cage 36" (wearing a size 38-40 with a lot of padding and hook extender to accommodate a bit of muscle) waiting for the consult to see what my BWD is and to pick a size.

I'm so grateful to all of you who have shared your experiences and photos for the benefit of the group. You've inspired me to join in.... SO, a big THANK YOU!!! to all of you... :-D

I should have posted this reply as an update/expansion...lol

Despite sounding pedestrian; my original attitude has always been "Go big or Go home!!!" ... MY translation of that was 650 to 700cc... and then I compared a lot of work by Dr. Pousti out CA and Dr Krau in FL who have done some beautiful work. When I started looking a before and after Photos of women with similar before photos and stats... I started thinking I'd need 800+ cc to get nice full breasts that sit close together and not under my armpits with such a large gap in between, you could fly a plane between them and not scrape the wings..lol. Of course, more research showed how its not just size of the implant but projection of the implant, body structure and skill of the surgeon.. etc....
Then I discovered Realself and have been reading so many wonderful women's experiences on this site. The more I've read about the various issues with with larger implants and have seen so many poor women suffer with multiple surgeries- the more I started re-evaluating my ultimate goals and wants.
Basically the same process I'm sure everyone as gone through.
I have really let go of the "cc" envy and really focused on the proportions and shape I want to achieve. A learning process for sure.
I have to keep reminding myself, I'm not 25 anymore.. so do I really want the same size of chest as I once did..(so many, many, many years ago... hahaha)... which is when I finished nursing my 4th baby and originally decided to get implants...
Now even though it's been a struggle (due to car accident almost a decade ago); I've made a real attempt to get back to my first love: bodybuilding. I've got back some of the muscle I used to have pre-babies.
So, the question is: Do I really want implants on the larger size that could just make me look blocky, seems to be a fine line for me how big is too big and could it damage the integrity of what little tissue I have left etc... I still love the look ...just not sure if my head's in the same place as it was when I first went down this road. (I will have to get around to posting some photos so you'll know what I mean.)
Back to present day: I haven't even been able to train for the past 8 months except for maybe 5 or 6 trips to the gym in total and I measure 48inches/122.5cm around for my shoulder circumference. I think it was over 50/51 inches/130cm last summer and I was 8lbs leaner than I am now but had been training consistently. More muscle density makes me question if I'll just look like a block and top heavy.. broad shoulders big implants and 35-36" hips ... thus my dilemma.
Thanks again...to everyone here at Realself for being so inviting and helpful. :-D

I have a sizing appointment and surgery date....

I finally decided on surgeons and I'm scheduled for a sizing appointment for April 12th and a tentative date for surgery fro June 6th... 2 months tomorrow as long as everything goes well at the pre-op checkup scheduled for the 20th. It's all falling into place and I'll be able to let the excitement flow full reign once I get he results from the pre-op. I'm conservatively joyous.. for now..... the batsh*t crazy excitement should hit me once I get the thumbs up for the GP and anesthesiologist.... lol
Hope everyone is having a great day!! xo
