11 Weeks. Still in swell Hell
$9,530
I'm almost 11 weeks and still can't wear pants. Not sure if anyone else is having this problem. It really sucks. I wake up in the morning and just amazed at how I look. Then 30 min or less and I'm huge again. Everyone says be patient. Trying my hardest!!

Finished 2 weeks at work!!
It was hard the first week but this week was pretty good. Still swollen from the bob to the pubic area. Looks kind if like a ball and it's hard. Emailed my ps and they asked me about my bowl movements. Hopefully here back soon kind of worried. I'm such a worry wort though. Anyone else have or had a hard ball in the tummy or bowl movement problems?

You do look great! And it'll only get better over the next year! Hard ball? Hmm.. Im not sure, unless like your PS suggests, add fiber and water, may be a bit of a daily walk if you think its constipation. I had (kinda still have, but its getting better) a hard area where the horizontal and vertical incisions meet to one side. But, I've seen that before with another surgery in that area. But your PS should be familiar with that sort of thing, I'd imagine. Mine seems to respond to a little massage. And I never bothered to find out what it was. Every week gets better. I think a healthy diet and staying fairly active helps speed things along. Congratulations on your TT! Happy healing!

Thank you elijanh!! I'm doing much better. I just getting so tired of this swelling. I wake up in the morning and get so excited. Then I take a shower and get ready and swell up huge. I'm almost 11weeks and still can't wear pants. :-( it is so hard to be patient!! I feel like people are looking at me like why did she do it she doesn't look different. I know it's probable just me. I'm going to start back with Zumba on Saturday hopefully that will make me feel better. I usually do it in the morning but from what I've read you really swell up so maybe I should do it in the evening when I'm already huge :-). Thank you again. It's nice to hear it will get better.

The swellingswelling, bloating really, is still an issue w me, I'm 10 months post op. Guess cuz everything tighter and the nerves are funky. I do find the excersise helps with the swelling. I guess because your body's moving fluids. I'd say if u like zumba in the am, then try it. I'm not brave enough to try a zumba yet! I'm so so uncoordinated. Keep us updated on how the zumba goes. I may borrow your experience as inspiration!

Made it - Sort of!!!
Ok back home after first day back to work. Sneezed this morning and ended up crying in front of coworkers. Really sore after lunch. My advice is make sure to take Tylenol to work.

Hi Doxie! How are you? How's the swelling? I go back to work on Friday. Looking forward to seeing everyone. Boredom has set in, so I'm ready! Hope you are doing well!

Hi Smucci! I'm doing ok. One day will be great and one day not so good. Think I'm pushing my self to much I guess. The swelling is horrible. I'm having a hard time with low salt I think. I also find it hard to remember to drink at work. Wish I had taken 4 weeks off of work and then part time that first week back. It has been harder then I thought. Be careful at work. Just because you feel good do not over do it otherwise you will pay for it 2-3 days. Don't get me wrong it is nice to be back at work and talk to other people then my hubby but be careful. How's everything going with you?

I'm having a horrible time with the swelling too. From below my bb to my pubic area is horribly swollen. I had follow up appt yesterday and he tried to drain any fluid in there but there was no fluid. So it's just plain old swelling and not a Seroma. I was fortunate to have 4 weeks off so I feel ready to go back. Let's see how I feel tmrw when I get home! Are you still wearing some kind of compression garment?

I am still wearing this darn suit!! Can't wait to get it off. 2 more weeks I think. But then I'm wondering is it helping with the swelling because I feel huge in the same place as you and it's hard so I don't think it's fluid. I don't go back to the ps until the 11th so we will see what he says. Good luck in your first day back to work!!! Let me know how it goes.

Good Morning Doxie! You were right.....I went back to work yesterday and I felt pretty good all day. Then I got home and crashed!! The muscles above my BB were pretty sore (that's because the binder does not go up that high to support those muscles), so I took a Vicodin (still have some left!) and went to bed early. It was good to be back at work and catch up with everyone (oh, and work too!). I took my binder off and wore a spanx, but there was not enough support and I swelled more than usual. I couldn't even see my pubic area due to the swelling! So, back to my trusty binder. Its going to be a long, hot summer with a CG! But, what are you gonna do! How are you doing?

Congratulations on your awesomeness. May you continue to heal well...and with sneezing. Lol. I dread sneezing. It helps me to press my stomach with my hand and release my sneeze with as much air as possible. It relieves the pressure. Sneeze mouth wide open, this is not the time to be socially proper, apologize later. lol. I did cover my mouth though.

Thank you ItTakesaVillage. I have been rubbing my nose when I feel one coming on to scare it away. So far so good :-)
