12 days PO STILL NOT HAPPY

Swelling is going down gradually, not sure how much still to go. I can still draw my stomach in loads to make it flat. Why is that possible?? Seeing my PS on Monday hope he can put my mind at rest!!Still much better than before but still want to keep it hidden :( xx

11 days PO

Feeling a bit up and down. Shape hasn't changed much, swelling has went down a bit but I still cannot fit in my pre surgery clothes. Should I not be in them yet?? I am judging it with my work trousers that I had on just before surgery, I try them on every morning and still cannot get them closed. Still feeling fat and I don't think I will be getting the results I hoped for. I am off to get my dressings changed this morning so will ask the nurse about the swelling. I did not have any painkillers yesterday and none Today so far. I do feel very tender sometimes close to my bb which gets worse later in the day. Will post some pictures later. Hope u are all getting on well x

5 days PO

Feeling not too bad today. Muscles felt sore this morning after laughing last might quite at bit at something on TV. Took paracetamol and Ibroprohen which has helped. Taking paracetamol thought the day but pain not too bad really. Sleeping in bed fine propped up with 4 pillows and no longer need pillow under knees. Cannot sleep on side yet though too painful. Having a nap still during the day but tiredness is getting better. I can stand up straight more or less, a little bit hunched at night when swelling gets worse. I am happy that I have had this done even though I can see that I am not going to be completely flat. Some work will be required on abs once healing is complete. Just bringing the separation together has made a big difference but will have to tone the remaining stretched muscle which a tummy tuck cannot address. My scar is quite high which I knew would be the case before surgery but when I seen it in hospital it looked very neat. My belly button looks weird do I hope it improves. Feeling full quicker when eating which is not a bad thing as I never knew when to stop before. Getting bored at home so hoping to get out tomorrow for lunch or something.
The whole experience so far has been better than I thought it would be. So being prepared for the worst is definitely a good thing. Not had drains or binder or support of any kind and still moving about fine. Happy healing to you all and those still to have it done it's not that bad so don't worry about it.

Mr Quaba has a very good reputation, all of the nurses spoke very highly of him. He is very knowledgeable and listens carefully. He goes into detail and is very honest. I would recommend him to anyone although I think he is retiring soon which a great shame.
