Just booked my date now for full TT and MR. It all seems 2 real now. Feel scared and excited. Really worried that I can't handle the pain I'm a bit of a wimp!! My tummy got worse after my 2nd boy now 7. I also have horrible scars from hernia repairs which will be removed. I really hope this is worth it.

I an starting to really worry about the pain. Also I have heard that you can experience breathing problems. Did anyone experience this. I like to take deep belly breaths to relax, I hope this does not cause restriction.

Don't be scared, it really isn't bad, I had a TT and some muscle repair and I can hand on heart say it isn't painful, uncomfortable yes, a slight burning sensation. The only blip as such is when you cough/sneeze/laugh and my way to deal with that was to push hard on my belly button area with my hand. It is so worth it :)

You do have a similar shape to me before my tt. I will be honest and say for me it was pretty painful the first few days, I had plenty of drugs though so actually had quite a nice time in hospital lol! I haven't had one second where I have regretted it though and having given birth 3 times I can also tell you that the pain is nowhere near as bad as that. You will be fine, good luck.

I am sure you will just love your results. I am 5' 2". And maybe a half inch more! I am just over 7 weeks post op and wish I had done this 10 years ago! To be totally honest, the first few days are the worst. By day 5 I was truly starting to feel better. It was amazing to look down, right after surgery, and see a flat tummy where the rolls had been. Last week, on vacation, I was walking around by the pool, in my tankini, quite confidently. Previously I would put on a dress before standing up and walking around. I even ordered a bikini from Bravissimo to wear when all my swelling settles down. I haven't worn a bikini for almost 40 years!! This surgery really is life changing. Hope you have a speedy recovery!!

Hi, thankyou so much for you reply, I am soo nervous. I keep changing my mind about it. One minute I am 100% then I think is my belly soo bad. It is bad and I think about it all the time trying to draw it in while I am talking to people. I actually have conversations in my head, should I just make do with what I have at 43, I don't what is wrong with me when I have made the decision before .

Ps funky nana, any breathing probs? And I meant to say , I shop in bravissimo regularly, it is a fab shop :)

I had no breathing probs at all. I would try and remember to do my 10 deep breaths an hour. You do feel a bit tighter around the upper abs but it didn't hinder my breathing. I am 56 now so you are NOT too old at all. I feel SO much happier with my body. I find myself checking myself out in shop windows as I walk by!!! Never done that before... I also had doubts - up until the morning of surgery. As we were driving in I was thinking that I should just live with it. Now I am just so happy that I went ahead. It IS life changing. Myself esteem has skyrocketed. No more being embarrassed about your body and "sucking it in" all the time. It is a big decision but you will find that more than 99% of ladies on this site are glad they did it. I love Bravissimo, but unless I'm I the UK - or someone is coming over to visit, I have to make do with ordering on line :-(
