WORTH IT
Starting to get both nervous and excited about my upcoming operation so i have decided to diary it. I shall be putting up the before photos in the next week. I have doubts about my sanity at doing something so drastic but i am confident the end result will be worth it . I had no problem with my appearance until I had my hair cut short . From the front I do not see much of a problem but now my hair is short the side view shows a multitude of sins. loose skin and undefined jawline and down turned unhappy mouth. Im hoping this will literally put a smile back on my face. Here,s hoping.

You look fabulous. I too am anxiously awaiting my facelift. Your before pictures and how I presently look are very similar. I have short hair too. Concerned about the scars will be hidden. Your surgery was so successful.

I had an SMAS lower face and necklift with some fat transfer. The scars at the front of the ear are very discreet so much so that initially I did not notice them when I took the bandage off. The exact positioning of the scars is customised to suit each individuals need so mines had a small horizontal one level with the top of my ears then down the front of the ear. no hair was removed or shaved off. The drains were like tiny cocktail straws nothing like these big dangling things I have seen used by some . They are under the bandage and are taken out the morning after. I mention these as the thought of these hanging glass tubes disturbed me . This version was much better.

I know these drains were a major concern of mines so its a question worth asking. If you look at the photo with the bandage there is nothing to be seen and you didnt feel them coming out when he changed the bandage in the morning . They looked like 4 inch long thin straws.

Looks fab ive just had some surgery (TT) with MR Quaba. What sort of recovery time was your lift? Cost?
March 11, 2015
the exact cost varies according to your exact requirements so no two are exactly the same. I had an smas lower facelift and necklift with lipo under the chin area and jowls. I also had fat transfer to the cheek area under the eyes. I DID NOT require any eye work but opted to have a bit filler in my upper lip as it was very thin. My total cost all in was £6750. I know the lips were £250 so it would have been £6500. Comparing that with some of the London prices it was very good indeed and I was getting a top man . I am interested to hear about your TT as I am also considering this but could not take the downtime at this point in life.
As for my downtime I had my operation on the Wednesday and was able to run a full payroll the following Tuesday. During the first week I was fortunate enough to be able to work from home. I was able to go out as there was nothing obvious to be seen except for a bruise on my lower neck which I covered with a lightweight scarf. I had a small amount of bruising but nothing that couldnt be explained away as an allergy or something. No one actually asked me but your neck will be stiff and has to be moved with caution. One to two weeks would be realistic as you still need rest even though you look ok with all stitches out by day ten. Driving can be a bit of a challenge due to neck movement restriction to start with. I never drove till week 2.

P.S. The small amount of bruising should have said small amount of swelling. My typing is not too great ha ha .

You look fab. I had TT lipo Breast red uplift 4 weeks ago. Healing well. I lost s lot of weight so would like my lower neck done too. Xx

The neck makes a real difference as it one of the most tell tale aging areas. Im very glad I done it as its difficult to decide if its the neck or lower face or both that require attention. I had jowls as well as all my family have them so to start with I would have said lower face but when I started to look at it from the side the neck was worse than the neck. How are you coping with the pain of the tummy tuck? Do you get anything to help with the pain as it seems to be a very big cut. I have a real overhang that just wont go away.

My Breasts been the sorests but I only took paracetamol so it's bare able. I Wirk fir myself and have closed for 7 weeks so bigger recovery understably.

I had surgery on 4/2/2015. You must have been around the same time.Compared with what you have the neck will be a breeze.

I am experiencing the same thing. I hate to look in the mirror. Every once in a while I pull my face up with my hands, just like my mother used to do. But I want to do something about it! Can you share with me how much this costs?
April 2, 2015
The price is variable depending on the degree of work done so no two are exactly the same. Mines cost £6500 for Lower face and neck lift and fat transfer to the under eye area. You can get a bit cheaper but remember its something you only want to do once and you want a good job done first time with no problems. The price does not vary much unless you opt for going abroad which is always a bit risky. I may add you can get interest free credit to help you a bit so its not as undoable as it sounds. Try having a few consultations. I went only for two face to face ones and the one in England turned out to be more expensive with a lesser known surgeon than the one I had. I feel I got a good deal. Being local also takes all the difficulties of getting stitches out etc as you do need to visit a few times. You have to take that into consideration.

Looks great! How are you feeling?
March 9, 2015
Im feeling great. So glad I done it and that I went with Awf Quaba. The recovery has been so good. The only bad point was the sleeping sitting up . In hindsight I ssshould have purchased wedge shaped foam to prop myself up with as this would have helped a lot.

Your skin looks lovely and smooth. What type of facelift did you have? A definite wow!
March 11, 2015
You look fantastic. What a difference and what a great review. I'm very impressed with the results. I also want to thank you for your very kind response and information to my private message to you. You have given me a lot to think about and reconsider on whether to go ahead with my surgery with Mr Qauba. He has done an excellent job! Wishing you all the best for the future once again x

If you go for another consultation make a full list of all the issues you want to ask and take it with you. I did as its easy to miss out questions on the spur of the moment. I wish you well with your decision and perhaps will see a nice review if you go ahead.

Felt confident from this start that Mr Quaba was the man for the job. His professionalism and attention to detail were second to none before during and after my proceedure. It was a very well planned and executed operation and his skills were self evident. I could easily have appeared in public a few days after surgery without being too noticable. I am 100% happy with my outcome ,

I'm sure you are happy! The difference is well worth the investment. Your skin looks flawless and the hair cut is very complimentary . Elegant.

i had to grow the sides a bit as I was not sure exactly how much coverage I would initially need. I like to wear it slicked over my ears and that is still possible. my skin is in better condition now than it has ever been. I have never had good hair so a short style helps a bit. I gave it a body perm a few weeks before as I knew I would not be able to use much products on it tp start with e.g hairspray so this helped keep the style in till I got back to my usual routine.

Can I be cheeky and ask how much it cost.
August 6, 2016
It is a different price for each person depending on the work involved but from memory around £5900. Getting it done right first time is much better than risking a bad job to get a cheaper price. As the saying goes you get what you pay for and I think it was well worth it to be guaranteed a first class job. I had priced others and it was going to be approx. the same not a vast difference and you can pay it up if necessary.
How exciting! I truly hope this goes really well for you and that you love your results in the end. Please keep us posted!
