Up until the age of 48 I was doing ok. Then I took the task as attorney for an elderly lady, to fight her corner in life to do what was right for her. It aged me overnight. Ok, I say I was doing ok. In reality, I have battled with skin issues for 38 years and the process of being attorney, the stresses and the pains, well, this exasperated my issues 10 fold. I have battled acne, seb derm, eczema and scars from chickenpox for too long. So, I decided to go the whole hog and have a neck lift, upper blephs, fat grafting and erbium yag laser surgery. The whole process from start to finish was much easier than I could ever have imagined. The aftermath of the laser was messy for a few weeks, but was worth the downtime at the end of the day.

WOW! You look amazing! You healed up so fast. Congrats!

Thank you. I did heal up fast. I quit smoking 3 weeks before surgery and haven't looked back since. But feel that quitting made for a faster healing time. The redness from the laser lingered for a lot longer, but was able to cover it with Lycogel after week 2. I also think that Bromelain helped speed up the healing process too.

Thanking you all for your kind comments :-) I am not a vain person, but have merely added my results in the hope that it may help anyone battling with skin issues and scarring, to let them see that improvements can be possible with the right surgeon. Never give up hope.

You look beautiful! Did you have this done under general or local anesthesia?

It was done under general anaesthetic Angiemcc. Surgery took about 4 hours in total.

Thanking you hun! Jeez, you have been on some journey too I see. Wishing you all the best. Without wishing to sound like a broken record, are you taking bromelain and resveratrol complex? I recommend them highly for healing. x

Bromelain yes but not the Resveratrol. Did u get the resveratrol complex at the drug store or did u have to order it?
November 19, 2014
I had to order the resveratrol online. From research, I believe there are 2 types - one made with Japanese knotweed that isn't very good, and the other made from grape skins which is the best. I went for Viridian Resveratrol Complex and would recommend.

if you have an autoimmune disorder like i do, i'm pretty sure you shouldn't take resveratrol; it exacerbates the symptoms. i'm still rather stunned at how quickly you healed. what is it like, may i ask, to have that beautiful neck?
November 19, 2014

I am sorry to hear of your autoimmune disorder. It is always wise to research all supplements fully before taking anything. Don't quote me on this, but the jury appears to be undecided in the medical world with regards to resveratol with an A.D.

Not sure if these links will show up, but am sure you have probably already read them.

Lol, I am an amazingly quick healer at any time. I had B.A done 4 years ago and felt absolutely no pain. I was driving again by day 2 and carrying on daily life as usual. Ditto for my previous C-section. Driving at day 4 as well as hanging out laundry, vaccing and wearing baby in a neck sling. I guess I'm just lucky.

Yes, it is nice to have lost the old scraggy neck. I could not have lived with that for much longer.
