WORTH IT$8,000
I have always had a large chest since high school, I was about an E cup but it never bothered me.
After having kids, I lost a lot of weight, I got down to 123lbs and as I am only 5ft tall, my breasts which stayed at 32GG just looked way out of proportion.
I had really bad back and neck pain, my bra straps dug into my shoulders and I got constant headaches. My tops never fitted very well either, all you could see on my small frame were these enormous breasts or if I wore tops to cover my chest, I looked fat. Basically it was a no win situation.
I went for a consultation with Mr Quaba in June and scheduled the operation for later in the year.
I had the operation this week and I am absolutely delighted. Dr Quaba was wonderful and he did a fantastic job. I had seen lots breast reduction pictures post op on the internet and some looked really bad, bruising, cuts opening, just enough to put you right off the operation.
I was well looked after, the staff were great, the food was delicious, Mr Quaba came to check on me twice during my recovery as I stayed in 2 nights. The pain was minimal, the incisions were very neat and glued together. I am due to get the stitches out around my nipples this week.
The first time I saw my breasts in the mirror after my surgery I was delighted. They are so cute and a lot higher up. He took 1lb from my left and just less than 1lb from my right. He did a breast lift and reduced the size of my areolas as they had stretched during pregnancy. I asked to be reduced to somewhere between a D and an E cup. So I'm excited to go shopping for new bras after 4 weeks.
Overall I am very pleased, sleeping sitting up is not as difficult as I thought it would be. I take my medication as directed so all I feel tenderness rather than pain.
It has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. I can stand up straight and my back pain has gone. I would definitely recommend Dr Quaba.

Wow! You look great! Will you be posting more pics after dressings come off?
November 25, 2015
Yes, I will be. Hopefully the bandages will come off tomorrow when I go to my post op check up :)

You must be so excited! I've been weighing up Edinburgh & Glasgow surgeons, so it's great to read your review & see how amazingly well your boobs have turned out! I think I will book a consultation with Mr Quaba-was it Me Quaba senior rather than junior you saw? Hope you don't mind all the questions!
November 25, 2015
It was Mr Quaba senior I had a consultation with. I really can't recommend him highly enough. I had 30H breasts that almost touched my belly button without a bra. I will post pre op pictures too and you will see what I had to put up with :) He was so good that I left it up to his personal opinion as to what size would be the best proportion. I can't say how happy I am with them.

I saw Mr Quaba senior too. He was recommended to me by a colleague who had her reduction performed by him. He certainly isn't the cheapest but my view is that this is not something you want to regret later so the cost was not a top factor in my choice of surgeon. I also had 2 nights in hospital (as I went from an HH cup and had 6lbs removed). Mr Quaba doesn't use drains either and many reviews on here state how painful and annoying the drains are.
I wanted 'small' and Mr Quaba said that I would be better focussing on a size to suit my frame. I am delighted by the size he has given me. It's perfect! On reflection I think I should have taken some reduction photos to show him how I'd like to be rather than focussing on a meaningless 'letter'. In the end though I am overjoyed by the size, being neither too big (my big worry) nor too small.
Definitely a thumbs up from Mr Quaba from me!

Thanks very much, I'm lucky to have a few weeks off. It's great to here how well things have gone for you x

Ladies! Thank you so much! Based on your glowing reviews, and *fantastic* results, I have booked my consultation with Mr Quaba, managed to squeeze it in before Christmas

You won't be disappointed! Honestly I have never felt this good about my breasts and how in proportion they are. I'll post a pre-op picture this weekend so you can see what a huge difference it has made. He is lovely, quiet spoken man who is honest about what results you can achieve. My friends say that my breasts look perky like a teenager while I am almost 40! Can't get much better than that :)
November 27, 2015
I'm 50 and haven't had such small, neat perky boobs since I was about 16 :-). Go in with a good idea of what you want to achieve but use the benefit of his experience too.

December 5, 2015
Wow you had great results! I go for mine 12/8 and hope to have the same experience. Your incisions are nice and neat. I am very concerned about pain. I also am 5 feet tall , 160lbs, 36DDD/ FF when I can fine that size bra. I'm going down to a C

I can't say I ever felt pain as such. It was just more discomfort and tenderness. There were certainly no stabbing pains or stinging sensations. The undersides of my breasts where the incisions are have been numb since the op and sensation is gradually returning. I find restricted movement worse than the pain. You will have to rest as much as possible, no stretching to pick things up. You will really love the difference though!!! Good luck x

One week post op - I bruise very easily
1542girlNovember 26, 2015
These pictures might look bad but honestly I am not in any pain and I do bruise very easily. So when the bandages came off I expected to see something like this.
I am still very happy with the shape and they will only improve from here. Dr Quaba came in during my nurse appointment to remove the bandages and he said they were healing perfectly. So I take a lot of comfort from that although they might look bad at the moment.
I had one two wee blood spots on my bandages, but nothing serious. Now I just have tape over my incisions which are glued and stitched together. I go back on Monday to get the stitches out. That's the only thing I feel squeamish about. The rest of the operation hasn't bothered me at all. The undersides of both breasts are numb and I can feel little pins and needles while I sit and type. So the feeling will be coming back. My nipples still have feeling in them, if anything they are hyper sensitive so I am glad they are OK.
I am wearing a supportive vest from M&S. I bought quite a few online before my op, so I have plenty to do me the next 4 weeks.
To speed up healing I eating a healthy as possible, taking multivitamins and getting as much sleep as I can. I take paracetamol an ibuprofen during the day and save my Dihydrocodeine for before bedtime as it knocks me out and I get a good night's sleep. I'm resting as much a possible although my house is a bomb site, it's not worth the risk to my scars to go mad cleaning everywhere. Some things at just more important at the moment.
Anyway I'll post again on Monday once the stitches come out.
Any questions please feel free to ask.

Amazing shape! You must be delighted, I know I would be! The bruising isn't bad at all, everything looks so neat. Quite right to ignore the housework for now, it'll still be there after you've healed!

Hi, 1542 Girl. And, Girl it is since there isn't a teenager on the planet that could compete with your perfectly sized, pert, high new breasts. Clearly, your surgeon is a genius/artist and should be commended. Your hubby must be chasing you around the house. Tell him to wait until you're properly healed...

2 weeks post op - no stitches but still taped
1542girlDecember 5, 2015
When I went to have my stitches removed, I was pleased to hear it was only the ones around the nipples and the vertical incisions down the breasts that would be coming out. The stitches under my breasts were dissolvable so would be staying put.
The incisions were glued then stitched and I got a chance to see them before the tape was put back over for protection. The incisions were very neat and tidy. My bruising has gone down a lot in a week so I feel they are looking much better.
I still take painkillers but don't feel the need to take them so often, so in a whole day I am down to 4 paracetamol, 4 ibuprofen and 1 Dihydrocodeine and one mouthful of Lactoluse to prevent constipation. The tingly sensations continue as more feelings return but nothing painful and for most of the time my breasts just continue to feel tender.
I am still wearing a supportive vest, just 2 weeks to go until I can buy a sports bra. When I first went in for surgery, I was advised only wear tops that zip up afterwards and I have to step into my vest rather than put it over my head. I still only step into my vest as I don't want to the elastic support to possibly ping off me as I lift I over my breasts but I have been able to wear loose fitting tops without zips as long as I am careful when taking it off.
It has been great to try out my clothes on my new small size, it feels like I have a whole new wardrobe and some things that now suite me so much better. I deliberately didn't throw anything out as I wanted to see if the reduction improved the look of certain tops but it's been great to have a clear out of all the frumpy baggy stuff in anticipation of the January sales!
Showering and sleeping are still a bit of a challenge. The tape can get damp but not soaked so I still need to be careful and be quick, whereas a nice long shower used to be one of my little indulgences. I still sleep sitting up as I was told it helps reduce the swelling as I find it uncomfortable lying flat for long periods of time, the pressure on the sides of my breasts for now isn't nice. But I have gotten creative with pillows and got a long bolster pillow which I can sleep sideways sitting up against.
Here's some latest pictures.

I had my breast reduction with Mr Quaba about 4 months ago, and I am so happy with the results. Just bought my first under wired pretty bra in M & S and was smiling all the way home. Have been doing Pilates and hour long walks to start me off gently. I would have terrible back and neck pain after carrying anything heavy before but now with the weight off my chest I can do so much more. Enjoy your recovery and healing. It's so worth it.

Looking good! I found the tape annoying too. I have to admit I took it off to have a long shower sometimes, or I'd soak in the bath with the water just below my boobs :-). When I left the tape on I got told that I'd got it too wet and the water under the tape had caused some extra soreness. I was very glad to see the back of the tape, although that was replaced by silicone tape to use once the incisions were all dry and healed and that's also a faff taking it off and putting it back on again after showering. I'm not sure whether it's helping the scars or not. It's hellishly expensive (£80 a box on Amazon!) so I don't think I'll bother buying anymore once I finish the box I was given by the nurse. Think I'll switch to Bio Oil at that point.
I didn't like the feel of the sports bras so I used those pull on Genie / comfort bras for about 4 weeks (still use one at night) but finally managed to buy a proper bra that a. fits, and b. feels comfortable. Feels good :-). Looking forward to buying an underwire bra and have tried a couple on, but I need to wait another couple of months before wearing one so haven't actually bought one yet. The choice of bras in smaller sizes is amazing! Can't wait to have free rein :-).
All my button up tops gathering dust in the back of the wardrobe because they pulled across my boobs now fit, so it feels like having a whole new wardrobe, and the tops I am now buying are very different from the ones I had to buy before .
2 months post surgery I'm pretty much back to normal now. Just the odd twinge where the nerves are healing really. And I can still feel some lumpy bits under the incisions that I imagine means that the internal stitches haven't quite dissolved yet. All good though!

Thanks for the information on your medication, it's good to get some idea as to how long I'll need the pain relief for. But Dr Quaba is a brilliant surgeon and it was worth every penny.
Enjoy your shopping!
I can't stop staring at them even now lol. Still amazed at the transformation.
I went back to work after a week. Was too soon really; 2 weeks would be more sensible for a desk job, more if you do anything more than just pen pushing. Happy healing!
