I approached Dr. Mesna for a liposuction but...
I approached Dr. Mesna for a liposuction but ultimately decided to add a lift to the procedure. Dr. Mesna was very patient with me and took the time to answer all questions. He was very personable, with great bed side manners. I ended up changing my mind a few time before I settled on the final procedures - cost was a huge factor for me. I believe Dr. Mesna's fees are reasonable for the procedure in the region. I am from Europe where you can pay as much as 4 times the fee or a fraction depending on the country. The day of the surgery was tough for me - it took me a long time to wake up just to find myself vomiting, sick to my stomach. The days after the surgery was painful too but I have a demanding 1year old baby and I chose not to take any pain killers.
I am 2 months post op and the results are there ... I would strongly recommend that you do extensive research because I wish I had inquired more about the shape and a few new techniques that I believe could have made my results significantly better. I ended up with, what many refer to as square-shaped breasts. Breast tissue redistribution and skin formation may have helped - I just did not know about them at the time. In addition, one of the circular incision around my nipple is significantly worse than the other - almost makes me think I had an intern working on one side and Dr. Mesna on the other - they are night and day. The questionable side is rough, with holes where the stitches were, scars and rather choppy shape. They were taped differently so almost convinced it was not the work of Dr. Mesna. I certainly hope these arrangements are disclosed in the future.
I have had one post surgery visit simply because I have been healing well and taking the time for a quick consultation has been difficult. In addition, I was put off by the staff during my last visit when I walked in on them discussing my financial arrangement for the procedure.
Overall, I am happy with the outcome and really appreciate Dr. Mesna's kind demeanor and patience during the prep period.
