3 Months Post-Op

There is still a small hard spot under my left nipple but it feels like its shrunk and its not as sore in the past month. So, I'm hoping its just scar tissue. Only concern is the mark on my left nipple which is only visible when it's flaccid (i.e. hot outside). I have attached pictures below. Surgeons think it could the stitches working themselves out or the swelling that may be pushing up from underneath.

Has anyone experienced anything like this? Other than that I am extremely pleased with the results. Back in the gym at full force now!

4 Weeks Post-Op Inspection

Went to see my surgeon today. I am very, very pleased with the results. My only concern is there is a hard lump on the left side of my nipple extending out about a half inch or so. There is no such lump on the right nipple only a dime size hard lump (the gland) which is perfect. Before the surgery my left nipple had what seemed to be a larger gland behind it, so I'm wondering if the process was a little more invasive than the right nipple.

I expressed my concerns to the surgeon wondering if it was scar tissue or god forbid the residual gland. He said it's most likely scar tissue because "everything was perfect during my first post-op appointment. Time is the ultimate test, it takes 6 weeks for all scar tissue to go away. Keep wearing the compression vest and doing what your doing. If it is still the gland, we may have to do revision surgery which is quick and easy and can be done locally. This would be extremely unlikely though."

So, I guess time will tell. The left nipple is still a little tender, as is the lump so I am praying it's scar tissue and will go away with time. If it is the gland, it's not noticeable enough to bulge out (as of now) but I don't want the gynecomastia to come back if there wasn't a full extraction in the first place. Yikes, I guess I have two weeks to pray this lump goes away.

Almost 4 weeks Post-Op

Extremely pleased with the results. Still wearing compression vest. Have another post op appointment next week.

Question for the community:
I had a larger gland on my left pec. Currently, it's still a little tender (rightfully so) but there is some hard mass around this area. Where as my right pec seems to have little to no hard mass around the nipple. I believe this to be scar tissue but I'm not sure. Does anyone have any input on this? I'm pretty confident it's not the gland and hope if it is scar tissue it will begin to break up on its own. My last post op the doc said I don't need to massage it or anything.

Very courteous and efficient staff. Gave "time spent" 4/5 just because I always felt a bit rushed when speaking/seeing the doctor. I've talked to a total of two surgeons and this seems to be a common theme, they are after all extremely busy and see many patients a day. Couldn't be happier with the results. Excited to see what more time and healing will bring.
