I had my 30 day POST F/U with my P.S. this week. He was very pleased with how I looked....I thanked him for giving my such a natural (not done) look...just what I wanted. We talked about the numbness which is still there...but seems like it is leaving slowly in layers. I can manage it better now...as before it put me in a sort of panic .....that this is the way I would be "forever". Silly I know. :) Anyway..he reasured me this will leave...but very gradually over the next year. I need to be patient and I know this is true...just really didn't know it would feel quite like this.
I still feel soreness where my incisions are..but nothing other than sore...no pain at all.
I have gotten so much from reading everyone's posts on RS...such a support.
Thanks to everyone for being so honest and clear about this process.

I was so tired of looking at my neck continuing to...
I was so tired of looking at my neck continuing to look a little worse every year - started around age 63. Then the jowels started in last year. I plan to work a few more year ....as I love my job in the corporate world....so decided to get a lower facelift and necklift. I gave this many months of thought...and mean while tried to just avoid looking in the mirror. Then - after a consultation with my PS...(who is very conservative)...I decided that to just clean up my neck and lower face - for me was the way for me to go. I wanted to not be self-conscious anymore. I just wanted my face to look like I felt!!!

I had same done on July 8 in Edina. Would I'm still puffy in the cheeks and neck, but I know it will look great in the end. I also had upper eye lid done, brow lift, and a skin peel under my eyes, so I looked worse than you did, but healing OK. I am turning 60 next year and this is my way to get ready for it. Sixty and sexy (LOL). Enjoy the results.

I should clarify: by "looked worse than you did" I meant worse after surgery. Sorry if that sounded wrong.

Wow! The picture of you on day 7 looks amazing. It doesn't look like you had any bruising or swelling.

Thank you...keep saving. I am glad I did it....I am at 5 weeks POST - just numbness to deal with...my PS said this will take 3-6 months or longer before it completely leaves. It is getting slightly less....seems to leave in layers...(if that makes sense). Have a great day.....
