Thursday, I had my consultation with Dr. Sam Economu. He sent my insurance which is BCBS of MN a pre authorization letter & told me I have to wait 4-6 weeks to hear back. I'll be a full C cup post op, if insurance does approve me. He also walked me through the procedure. Wish me luck guys :) Hoping to receive my letter a little bit sooner 4-6weeks.

With BCBS of MN you should here back 2 weeks from submittal(from when your dr sends info. They send the info directly to your dr and you will receive a letter in the mail so roughly 3 weeks. I would recommend logging into the bcbs website and ask if they received your request (include your dr) and a timeline for response...

It took me exactly two weeks from my consult to get a reply from my insurance. Contact your PS with your concern about the ins not receiving any paperwork. Idk how your insurance work but it shouldn't take more than two weeks for a reply.

At my consultation I was told it would take 4-6 weeks but everyone seems to receive a letter from insurance within 2-3 weeks I wonder why the delay? Thank you so much for your insight my mind has been racing I'm not sure what to expect but I also didn't want to hound my PS

Sometimes hounding is good. It shows them that's you're persistent and very serious about getting your sx. They will be more than happy to assist you in finding things out. That's their job! Either wait it out another week or give them a call; both ins company and your PS.

Thank you so much, I will give my PS a call shortly to figure out what is going on to see why it hasn't been sent to insurance. Because I'm very persistent. I'm ready to start a new chapter in my life & that requires leaving these huge jugs in the past lol

I had my consultation with my PS almost two weeks ago (sept 11th) Thursday will mark two weeks exactly & I called BCBS & they told me they haven't received any documentation from my plastic surgeon. Should I be concerned? How long does it typically take for a PS to send things over to insurance? I'm just eagerly wanting.

Call your PS and tell them your insurance hasn't received any info. You are your only advocate.

So I called my plastic surgeons office today & got really great news. They sent the preauthorization to BCBS today only thing is the sent it via postal mail & we all know about snail mail lol hoping for a pretty quick turn around. I've been in contact with BCBS they said it takes a day or two to show up in their system & 10 days for review. Overall today has been a GREAT DAY. Wish me luck dolls

I reached out to my insurance today to see why I haven't received an approval letter but they said they hadn't reached anything so I called my PS today to figure out why I haven't heard from BCBS about my preauthorization letter. & they told me that physically put my authorization letter in the mail but my insurance company said they don't typicall receive authorization letters via mail but fax so my PS said he'd fax the letter to BCBS & I should know within a week if I'm approved or not. Please pray for me you guys. I really am hoping for an approval letter.
