Note--sorry my photos don't really show the difference so well, I think the results look better than the photos show. My info: 43, two c-sections and I had protruding belly that was horrible and I looked a few months pregnant when viewed in profile. I thought it was due to a diastisis recti (splitting of abdominal muscles due to pregnancy) but my physiotherapist told me it was just a mummy tummy pouch. I was so upset every time I saw my profile in a mirror, basically every time I took a shower. I could suck in my stomach and make it look flat so that, combined with what my physio told me, made me think that I could fix it. I'm about 15 lbs over my ideal weight and I didn't want anything invasive. I chose coolsculpting because it had great reviews and could target my stomach. I live in Japan and luckily I found a clinic offering a 40 percent discount for letting them take before and after photos. The doctor recommended three locations (top, middle, bottom) of my abdomen with the largest suction tool. I did it all in one appt, so it took three hrs, each section took an hour. It was a little messy with the gel but I was given a patient jacket and shorts to wear so my clothes didn't get wet. I recommend bringing a comfy tshirt and shorts to wear for treatment if they don't provide it. The actual procedure was about 5/10 for discomfort, it was cold and kind of pinching but not painful. The massage after was gross because you see the huge fat block, but it quickly gets pushed back and disappears in the skin. The day after I could hardly walk, it was incredibly sore, as bad as a c-section. But the following days the soreness subsided. After that for about a month and half I noticed hard spots but they went away. I think my tummy got angry and inflamed around the one month mark, but that passed quickly. I started to see results after about two months and wow, it's fantastic! No more maddening pouch and I can absolutely wear a bikini (that was my goal). I ate too much junk during summer vacation and I'm hoping that once I work off those few vacation pounds my tummy will look even better. I didn't lose any weight from coolsculpting, it just feels like my stomach has been sucked in and given back a chance to be flat. My husband agrees it's a huge improvement. I am thrilled and would absolutely recommend it. I'm now thinking about doing my side flanks...
