Finally Took the Plunge

So I decided to finally overcome fear and really get to where I wanted to go. I had always been slim still slim as an adult but mid 20’s it was harder to get rid of the tire that had formed over my stomach. I was healthy and physically fit but diet and exercise wouldn’t get it to go away fully. It was like living with a burden on your back something that bothered you every day. I didn’t feel comfortable in bathing suits or form fitting clothes, this is so not like me I was always so confident and didn’t care what anyone thought. So I made an appt with Dr. Baum’s office to see what the cost really was and what it was all about. I was so nervous walking into the beautiful and calming office. I don’t know what I was so nervous for. I had a consultation and quote and then I had a decision to make.
I decided after realizing it was faith over fear that I was going to get this procedure done. I got to the surgery center the first huge snow storm of the season…. That was not fun. But I will never forget how scared again I was. I am an adult -what was I scared of the pain, results, going under. But the last thing I remember made it all worth it. As I was going under Dr. Baum grabbed and held my hand. I will never forget in the last seconds before being put under the immense peace I felt. And just like that I was waking up in recovery with a nurse. The pain was pretty wild the first few days and the bruising looked like I was beat pretty bad. I had several concerns and texted Dr. Baum over the holiday and he was fast to call me back and address my concerns. I really appreciate his bedside manner, his incredible talent in the operating room, and how kind and educational he really was.
I am almost six weeks out and it’s amazing the science project my body has gone through in just that short period of time. The human body and its ability to heal itself are pretty incredible. I look forward to my final results after all the swelling and bruising goes away. But I am so thankful for my current results. I can fit into clothes I never thought I would be able to wear again all thanks to Dr. Baum incredible work.If anyone is considering having any type of plastic surgery please go and see Dr. Baum. I am so grateful and happy I decided to go for it. I am also happy that Dr. Baum was the one who got me to this place. He is highly recommended. He is a miracle worker.
