I had Juvederm in cheeks in Oct. 2014 after waiting 4 months for an appointment. I called prior to the appointment to ask about Belotero and was told to come in for a consultation the next day!! The day of the Juvederm, after that was done, I asked about the Belotero and was told "not today". Again in Feb. I called for an appointment and could not be seen until mid-May. I was not feeling well but went to the appointment, waited 45 minutes and the doctor came in and said he wanted to do things a different way and for me to come back within 2 weeks and he told his staff to squeeze me in. Now they can't even fit me in the schedule until mid-June!!!!!! I really needed this procedure for my self-confidence and mental health as I have another serious health problem I am currently dealing with. I really like this doctor and most of his staff but am beginning to think he will never actually do the procedure. Seems like they can not squeeze me in for a short appointment for fillers, but if I call to ask a question they can see me right away. Debating on going elsewhere. Anyone else sent home like that?

That does sound strange. I'm sorry you are going through this. Have you asked him or his staff why they continue to reschedule? Could it be he is concerned about your serious health problem?

Keep us posted on how you're doing and take care.

I actually think they don't want me as a patient but I don't know why. I have been pleasant in dealing with them. I have called to see if there are any cancellations and they always say no. Now if I have to cancel in June I can't get an appt. until September. I have called 3 other doctors and even as a new patient could get an appointment within 2 weeks. You would not believe the run around I have gottten from the docs here - come and pay for a consultation, then they do nothing!!!! I've been told to come back in a month, then when I return they say "that would be difficult" or "I don't do that" (cheeks). Or yes, they will fill in the perioral lines but when I return for the procedure, say, "fill your lips and then people won't look at those lines". I am very disheartened after all the $ I spent on consultations for nothing. As for the 1st doctor, they tell me he is just all booked up. I need someone willing to put forth the effort to help me and not just have me out the door in 5 minutes. We need more qualified specialists in the area I live.

How long do I have to wait?

Well, after waiting patiently for 4 months I go to the appointment for cheek fillers and belotero for lips/lines. That night I felt as if I got punched in the eye and hit in the face with a brick. I returned to the doc (BC dermatologist) and he said he bruised the periosteum. I think I have 2 of those bruises. I now still have swelling on 1/2 of my face and have been diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia, which I had no sign of prior to the injection but injector doc said "totally not relate." Since I am battling stage 4 cancer, this has really affected my entire life in such a negative way. Already spent hundreds on doctors visits and all the additional meds I must now take. Lost 7% of my total body weight and am possibly facing hospitalization for tube feeding. Basically injecting doc told me to do nothing but wait it out. Won't return my emails asking for any kind of help. Of course I had the procedure to boost my self confidence but due to the complications I have become very reclusive. Praying this all resolves in a few more months. I did go to another BC plastic surgeon who could not palpate the Perlane, because it is so deep under the bruse, so the only one who can dissolve this (.5 cc) is the injecting doc.
