Rhinoplasty and Chin - East Orange, NJ

To anyone out there who is considering making changes I would like to share my experience with you. First of all I am not one who generally shares experiences on line but I feel this time its important since undergoing change of this nature can be quite stressful for most. Like most others I googled some surgeons in the tri-state area and then narrowed it down to a few. I did this like most would using the surgeons before/after pictures and reviews as a way to determine his abilities. Dr Eric Joseph immediately stood out and so did several others. I decided to see Dr Joseph first because he did have more reviews than any other Dr I could find. When I met him for our consultation I was comfortable with him right off the bat and it was very easy to talk as he is also a great listener. Dr joseph took some pics and showed me what he felt he could achieve. I was not expecting my chin to be a problem but he pointed out something interesting . He noticed that my chin was not symmetrical with uneven fat distribution on one side and asked if I had ever been in an accident I said no and then he investigated further and found a scar under my chin and then it dawned on me that I was in a bike accident as a teenager. Dr Joseph suggested not only Rhino but a chin inplant as an option for the weak chin with liposuction to balance out the trauma area. I left his office with pictures he had given me and reviewed everything over and over . I was contemplating a second opinion but the pictures were an accurate representation of how I presently look and then computer enhanced very nicely to the extent of the changes he felt he could perform. After giving it lots of thought I was in agreement with his analysis of me that I decided to go with my instincts since I was comfortable with him and I knew that he was dead accurate and the pictures proved it. Now the big day comes and yes im nervous he will give you a prescription for something to relax you a bit everything helps. We meet at the facility and his team is as pleasant as he is. I generally have problems with nurses and IV's but not this time some are better than others im happy to say. I will never forget when he greeted me and prepared me he told me I said the Rosary for you this morning. I smiled and felt a sense of calm because I knew I was in the hands of the right person all along I had said my own prayers as well. After removal the dressing a week later there was a marked improvement in all areas . I could not believe my chin it not only looked better from profile but the asymmetry was also corrected. Ive attached some pictures for all to see and the recovery is not as bad as you might think the first week is the roughest and the rest is history ..God Bless this talented man and all those who come into contact...
