I visited Dr. Marco for a simple earlobe correction, trusting his confidence and reassurances during the consultation. From the very beginning, he assured me that everything I wanted was easily achievable. I showed him how I envisioned my ear to look using my finger, and he confidently said it was possible by making a small cut behind the earlobe. He quoted S$8,720, claiming it included everything — surgery, nurse, and follow-up.

On the day of surgery, I again explained my expectations. He nodded and said it could be done. However, the results were extremely disappointing. My left earlobe looked awkward after the first cut and stitch. Only after I insisted did he attempt to correct it further, resulting in a barely average outcome.

But things got even worse with the right ear — the more problematic one. The first attempt made it look worse than before. I was in tears and pleaded with him to fix it. He reluctantly made a second vertical cut, which resulted in significant bleeding and still left my ear looking disfigured. His behavior after the surgery became cold and indifferent — nothing like the friendly and reassuring demeanor from the initial consultations.

During follow-ups, instead of accepting responsibility or offering a proper solution, he blamed me for the outcome, claiming I told him not to touch the cartilage — when in fact, as a professional, he should have clearly explained what was feasible and what wasn’t. He offered only vague hope of a "minor correction" in six months, showing no accountability for the S$8,720 I paid and the emotional distress I went through.

I now feel more self-conscious and disappointed than I ever did before the surgery. I regret trusting Marco and would STRONGLY URGE OTHERS TO THINK TWICE BEFORE UNDERGOING ANY COSMETIC PROCEDURE WITH HIM. Please look at the attached pictures for reference.

I asked for a detailed itemised bill — they simply gave me a generic receipt that stated “doctor surgery fee” without any breakdown of charges. This raised even more concerns about transparency and accountability.

This experience has been both emotionally and financially draining. What I expected to be a simple fix turned into a regret I carry every day.
