Fantastic results so far

I decided to finally buck up the courage and book myself in for the Earfold treatment after about 4 years of scouring the internet looking for info and reviews. I had very protruding ears (due to no anti helix fold and excess cartilage) and was always so conscious and they became a restriction on my every day life. So yeah in the pre op consultation it was explained to me what effect the implant has and what the limitations are and how it isn’t suitable for all ear shapes, which is why assessing the ears first is so important. I was only infested in having one clip per ear as it was too expensive to have two, and seemed very unnecessary. I was so sure that it wouldn’t work on my ears due to them protruding so much and the cartilage being so strong, and when it came to putting the test clips on to see what my ears could potentially look like the things wouldn’t stick properly for more than 5 seconds which worried me massively. But I could see what the clips were trying to do, and Dr Mark Ho Asjoe explained to me how the implants have grips on them, and will grip my cartilage and will successfully fold my ears back. So I was very certain that I wanted the surgery so I went ahead and was operated on. Dr Mark Ho Asjoe was very calming and reassuring and made me feel at ease the whole time. He has such a welcoming and friendly manner. He could obviously tell I was very very nervous but I was more excited for the outcome, I had waited years for this! So the whole op took about half an hour and I didn’t feel a single bit of pain. People say the anaesthetic stings and is the worst bit but I didn’t feel that at all, although I do have my nose and ears pieced and didn’t find them painful at all either so everyone is obviously different. During the procedure there is a lot of pulling and tugging of your ears but no pain at all. My mind was my worst enemy trying to imagine what was going on in my ear but I just shut my eyes and blanked it out. So eventually Dr Mark Ho Asjoe sat me up and handed me a mirror and I honestly could not believe how great my ears looked. Of course there was immediate bruising and a bit of swelling but they were absolutely perfect. I was set that my ears were still going to protrude but any improvement was an improvement, but Dr Ho Asjoe made them look absolutely fantastic and were pinned back further then what I was imagining which was so pleasing. I was given some painkillers and off I went and travelled home. I didn’t feel any pain just a slight ache in my left ear after about an hour after the procedure. I then started to feel quite sore and achey about 4-5 hours after the procedure in both ears. I struggled to sleep that first night due to the soreness but I kept myself dosed up on painkillers and eventually got off to sleep. I woke up the next morning with a slight ache in both ears and a little pain but nothing major. Ears were very bruised and swollen but that’s to be expected. I took ibuprofen throughout the day and the pain was minimal. Just about to hop into bed for my second night with my new ears. I wear a headband just so my ears don’t fold over in the night, although I make sure I’m sleeping on my back with my pillow slightly propped up. But all in all I couldn’t recommend this operation enough, the slight discomfort and that first night of aching and soreness I experienced was so worth it, especially for all the mental anguish I had suffered for so long before my operation. I’m so far very pleased with my results and my ears despite being tender and a little swollen, are looking great. Please if you are self conscious about your ears go and have an Earfold consultation, because if the implants are suitable for your ears then the experience is so minimally painless and is over within half an hour.
