Bilateral EarStitch

WORTH IT
I did a bilateral ear-stitch in december 2020 , and a revision in september 2021.
Mr O Toole is excellent at communicating the risks and chances of success and amazing at creating a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
I feel he is a friend, and I felt at ease. So it is important to select someone that makes you feel that he is a "buddy".
He has been extremely supportive and helpful in clarifying each of my questions.
Ear stitch is the best procedure to go. It does not hurt, and the procedure lasted around 25' + 25' (main one) and then 15'+15 (revision).
The only thing that hurts for 15 seconds is the local anaesthetic. Once this is done, then everything else goes on without any bit of pain.
I felt great. I wore a headband and all good.
Whether you need a revision or not depends on many factors and even if you have the best surgeon, this may still happen.
But do not be afraid and go do the procedure. It is really such a simple procedure . It took me years to decide it, and it was so simple.
also: avoid EarFold. Go for ear stitch. And go with Greg o Toole. If you need any further clarification, i am happy to answer any questions below.

Hello. Could you please clarify the difference between ear stitch and ear fold? And could you post some pictures of your results? Thank you!

Unfortunately, the ear stitch procedure , after 1 operation + 1 revision, had a relapse and the ears essentially almost moved to their initial position. I met Mr O Toole and he said that many of his patients complain and he tells them to wear a headband for 2 months for 24 hours daily!

So friends: my feeling is that the ear-stitch procedure should be avoided. It was created by Mr O Toole as a minimal procedure, but it sadly costs around £4000 , and every revision costs around £300 - £1000. So revision1 cost me £250 at a hospital. Result: Failed. No visible improvement. While Mr O Toole attributed this to possibly the bad material that the hospital had for the operation.

My feeling is that he knows that the ear stitch is bad. He also suggests to avoid the ear fold.

So friends maybe avoid ...MAybe some other consultant...

And maybe avoid ear stitch altogether.

Earfold he advised me to avoid . I do not recall why. But I also did not like the idea of an implant in my ear.

Anyways,I will do a 2nd op, and see if this one helps.

can you please share some pics of before and after? it might help to understand more what you underwent!! I'm asking just because I'm in the same boat, I had a first procedure in 2019 (not with Mr o'tool), and I'm not happy with my upper third, because still prominent; and meanwhile I'm was thinking to go for the ear stitch procedure, however reading few review online made my decision a bit difficult, first of all because all of you after the earstich procedure went also for a revision... and this is a bit annoying because means that the only permanent procedure is the cartilage scoring.
