Ear surgery before I turned 40! Best gift ever!!! Thank you Dr. Pousti.

I have always wanted wanted to have ear surgery. I was teased my whole life for my prominent ears and it wrecked my self confidence. I have always been embarrassed about how my ears stuck out. I always wore my hair down to hide them and sometimes they even stuck through my hair. I felt like when people were talking to me all they saw were my ears, even though people told me they didn't think they stuck out that bad. I was still convinced that they stuck out really bad. I had always wanted to get them fixed and finally decided before my 40th Birthday i was having it done.
I found Dr. Pousti after searching and searching for the perfect surgeon online reading reviews after reviews from thousands of patients. All his reviews were positive and consistent. When my fiancé and I finally met Dr. Pousti we knew he was the one, he made us feel very comfortable. He is professional, courteous and funny. He felt I was a great candidate for the ear surgery and reassured me he can fix them and have a very natural outcome.
During my pre-op appointment I was given instructions for preparing for my surgery and I felt that the attention to my understanding was very thorough.
Surgery day I was his first patient scheduled and arrived at the surgery center very early. We were greeted and welcomed by kind and caring staff. Everyone was very accommodating and made me feel relaxed as I was very nervous. Dr. Pousti met with us one last time to discuss and review my desired goals. He is a very great listener and has a very calm demeanor.
After the surgery I awoke without pain but experienced some nausea. I was driven home and rested. Dr. Pousti prescribed pain meds that alleviated the pain. The hardest part of my recovery was not being able to sleep well on my back since I've always been a side sleeper. I went home with gauze wrapped around my head which was removed after 5 days. I was thankful for receiving a call from Dr. Pousti's staff everyday to check on how I was feeling and if I had any questions, I appreciated each call. Daisy made majority of the calls and she is very sweet.
I love being able to wear my hair up now in a ponytail and my coworkers say they look very natural.
I am very happy I chose Dr. Pousti to perform my surgery. Ear surgery is one of his favorite procedure to perform because of the satisfaction he gives his patients providing them with their desired goals.
I am thankful, grateful and humbled by Dr. Pousti's ability and precision. He is amazing and truly the combination of a skilled surgeon and a talented artist. If I had to do it again, I'd do it the same but sooner. I am very please with my results.
