ok!

So got my stitches out in the front. The stitches behind my ear are dissolvable. So this is what my ears look like now. My left ear PERFECT. My right ear is a little wonky. But it's growing on me I guess, it only looks bad when you look at it straight on the side of my head. You can see how that earlobes points back. After it has fully healed and doesn't hurt to touch anymore, I'll massage that one with bio oil and see if I can even it out a little. Sooo I don't know, I think it was worth it, but barely lol. You get what you pay for! I'm sure my pointy ear could have easily been avoided. But maybe it won't bother me after awhile. However I'm content for now, I am glad I can wear normal earrings in the future.

worried

Honestly I don't know, I'm disappointed at the shape of my right ear, you can see it's the weird one. I'm hoping it will be more normal looking once it is swollen free: My left ear looks fine. Looking at the incisions though I worry he might not have cut the edges enough because I can see some curl into it. It's looks strange, like the incision line is not melding together into a flat surface, instead it curls in a little. But I'm not a surgeon, so all I can do is wait and see.

Ear lobe surgery! No more stretched ears!

I went in today to get both my ear lobes done. I used to stretch my ears and went up to 00g before I accidentally blew them out and I just let them heal and never put plugs in again. The result of that was shrieked down holes but ones that will never return to normal to wear earrings. I left them to be for a very long time, never wearing any jewelry, for a few years. But now I miss wearing earrings and decided it was time to get this done. I waited so long because it never really bothered me, my ears looked normal and no one could really tell I stretched them, I just couldn't wear earrings.

So I did not go get a consult first because I was told I didn't need to on the phone for a small procedure such as that. I previously went somewhere else to get my consult, because I had gone there to get a scar revision with great results. But in the end I chose a different place mainly because of the price difference. I went to get my surgery done at a place nearly an hour away from me but the cost was a mere $600 compared to $1050 at my regular place!

I think I chose the right place because my doctor has great reviews on realself and although when I met my him he did not seem to talk to much but I didn't ask much either. He was soft spoken and very mannerly and his staff is wonderful. I was out in about an hour. The pain is tolerable, during the procedure and after you feel nothing, but later in the day my ears really began to hurt and throb but still bearable! I took some ibuprofen and it has helped some! Right now I can't see what the incisions look like because they are covered and my earlobes are still swollen so I am curious to see what the shape of them look like. I was worried that my ears would look a bit pointy after seeing some other reviews but I can't wait to see what mine look like! I hope they look ok! I'll be getting my stitches out next friday!
