I had a very similar experience after a neck lift about four years ago in Asheville. I had a complete neck, face and brow lift in 2000 which really looked great for the next 15 years. I opted for the "new" neck lift because it was...time again. Immediately after the recent neck lift the "pixie" ears really looked attached low on the jowl line. I moved from Asheville to San Antonio late last year and immediately searched for a reputable cosmetic surgeon and found one at the Alon Center, Dr. Regina Fearmonti. She released the where the pixie was attached, reduced the size of the lobe and then went back about two months later and evened one of the lobes out. The end results was wonderful. She also re-pierced my earring holes because once the "pixie" was removed, those holes were no longer there. I'm delighted with the results and am very grateful to her. My ears look the best since childhood. As we age, many ear lobes become stretched or just downright bigger. I understand your disappointment. May I suggest that you give your lobes a chance to heal, then seek out someone else for the "redo". Trust me, you don't have to live with this for the rest of your life. I would like to mention that I noticed my healing time was longer than it was when I was 50. I'm now 69 but everything did heal just fine and I was diligent about following her suggestions of aftercare. Let us know how you make out. All the best.

Thank you for sharing your experience and comments. I'm going to get it fixed one way or another to spend for facelift and spend for revision and then it's still not fixed and he says I have issues body dysmorphic he got offended when I brought up the pixie ears. I'm the sensitive emotional excited patient he's supposed to be the compassionate caring concerning experienced doctor.

TY! I have that problem too. Did she do a revision FL or a V-Y plasty?
I had a revision fl with same doctor and he gave me pixie ears again!!!!
If you had a V_Y plasty how bad is the scar? Would you be able to send me before and after photos?

Hello,

I also have pixie ear deformity. Can you explain what procedure you had to fix your ears? Did you have a full revision facelift to correct them or was it the minor type of correction I've read about where they just released the earlobe itself? I've read the second procedure leaves a scar.

Did you have any visible scaring after your correction?

Thank you.

No my problem is I had the second revision now I have pixie ears still so now I need a third surgery to get them fixed I do not notice a scar probably because he didn't do it correctly II first or second time so I can't really help you with that at this moment I'm looking into it but I watched up dr.lee Sandra Lee YouTube video fixing the ear pixie ear you can watch that video and she cuts the extra out like a piece of pie and then so is it together maybe that's something you want to check out or if you find out anything let me know Florida thank you

The procedure is pretty simple. The lobe that is "pixied" (meaning pointed and that point attached to the skin) is "released" by a small incision, sutures are put in place. The lobe is restructured if need be(and mine was) and a few stitches were placed at the bottom of the earlobe. Those sutures were removed between ten days and two weeks. Voila, new ear lobes and that dreaded "Pixie" look that is a dead give away to having a face or neck lift is totally gone. The small scars where the "pixie lobe" was attached and then released are almost gone. And what remains doesn't bother me one bit.

I'm sorry that your doctor wasn't able to fix this for you on the redo. Also, you don't sound like a "sensitive ,emotional, excited patient". You have put up photos that show very distinct "pixie ears" and your ears look exactly like mine did. Your doctor doesn't like having his work criticized, does he? Again, you don't have to live with this and I promise you that you will feel a behemoth sense of relief once this "fairy tale" ends. By the way, after I had that neck lift and the pixie ears formed, I had a continual sensation of fluid in my left ear when I went to bed at night. There was never any seepage or wax build up but upon the release of that ear being drawn down into its pixie formation, all of that sensation went away. I know it had to do with the ear lobe being pulled so far down. That was a side benefit of having the surgery and one for which my doctor has no explanation but as she said: "I'm not an ear doctor". Again, good luck to you and I hope you will post again when you have satisfactory and final results. If I can be of any further help, just let me know. All the best, Elise

thank you so much and he's Elise well the healings time almost been a year and I still have too lumpy balls under my chin. Really after a facelift had a revision I should be good and I can't trust him to do it again. Before I got the second surgery he got offended when I asked him about his pixie ear experience yet and still you screwed them up again. Why should it come out of my pocket I'm asking for money back is worth a shot don't hurt to ask I'm getting his administrator and manager involved but thank you for your time and your words I wish I would have had a doctor to comment you're the only one that did and I appreciate it

I was wondering if I was going to have too much Scar Tissue now behind my ear and I also wear my hair very short and I believe the scars going to show them both sides in the back right now I'm letting my hair grow out I don't like it just to cover my ears are still not really covered I want even want earrings it's awful. I've been very emotional and upset about this situation I just want it done right what I paid for it's ridiculous. And this Surge and used to work at lifestyle left by now they had some bad reviews and they had to shut down I'm wondering if he did that type of surgery on man just changed the name I don't know it's just I just want it over with but it's such a drag I got to take off work you know I got to go around looking at my hair looks terrible my face is still saggy after two surgeries I mean it's ridiculous

The doctor refuses two sticks the deformed ears that I have after a facelift and after revision still deformed / pixie ears dr. Jason swerdoff bay dermatology formally from Lifestyle Lift. I can't trust him to fix it if you did it wrong twice they refuse to reimburse me and now I'm asking for me to get quotes or consultation with other surgeons to see what the cost will be to get it fixed and they reimburse me that difference the doctors screwed it up twice I just want it fixed I don't want ears stuck to my cheek
