Dysport Caused Eye Drooping.

I will start by saying they are very nice but my experience has not been a good one so far. I have had Dysport and Botox several times before from several different providers and never had an issue. I had 80 units of Dysport in my forehead, crows feet and 11's. I was happy until about a week after the procedure when my left eye began to droop. I called and they said to come in and take a look. I went in, they said it's no big deal and this can happen and should clear up in a week or so. They assured me it would not get worse. It got worse. Now two weeks after the injections, my left eye is almost completely closed. Instead of feeling good about myself, I am so embarrassed I cannot go out without people staring. I have terrible eye pain from the strain of trying to keep it open and my self esteem is basically gone. This could just be a onetime thing that happens to only me, but its been absolutely a horrible experience.

also looks hollow. During the past 6 months after the ptosis began, I have seen a neurologist, occuloplastic surgeon and opthomologist. I'm currently dealing with inflammation, dry eye, and punctate keratitis from using upneeq once per day to fix the ptotic eyelid. I had to stop using upneeq. The eyelid doesn't droop so horribly that it's affecting my vision. But the difference in the way my two eyes look now is very unappealing and obvious. My suffering has been confounded by all the misinformation out there about how botox or dysport eyelid ptosis wears off in a few weeks or months. It's led me to believe I developed a permanent ptosis overnight for no reason (extremely rare - most people get it over long periods of time with old age or are born with it). I had multiple tests for myasthenia gravis and was even considering ptosis surgery. Now I'm convinced it's the dysport not wearing off completely because I have seen a little improvement over the past 6 months.
