Coolsculpting of Lower Abdomen

UPDATED FROM MassMom

WORTH IT$1,200
So, three years later I have started to see some of the fat redistributing itself awkwardly in my lower abdomen again. It is what it is; it's apparently how I carry my weight/ store my fat. I plan to have another procedure this spring, to even out those contours again. I work out regularly and eat clean. My weight has fluctuated up and down by 5 pounds since the time of my last procedure in 2012; so no drastic gain (right now, I'm about 5lbs up). Overall I've been satisfied with the results; as a non-invasive procedure, it works pretty well. But fighting nature is obviously hard.

I think you've helped to shed light on one of my major questions: how quickly will the area revert back, if it does at all. It's reassuring to know you were able to maintain your results for 3 years. I'll sign up for those results!

Hey, I like your results. Like you said, for a non invasive procedure, I think the results are pretty noticeable. Did your skin also felts tighter after the treatment? I have the same trouble spot as yours and have been thinking about cool sculpting, but am afraid of sagging skin!

Did you only have redistribution of fat in your stomach? Or did you see other areas get more fat easily (kind of like what happens with lipo)? I'm glad to see a long-term update!! Did your lower an skin tighten as well?

Your cost shows $1200. Is that for both treatments or for the first single cycle?

Would you go back to the same physician?

Thank you for your review and updates. I'm about ready to make my appointment for coolsculpting, reading on this website many complain that pain associated with is tremendous.
I'm 52 years old and as far as I can remember my weight is the same 114 pounds and 5'1". But that 2 pound fat deposit is what really disturb me.
My questions are:
1. Did you notice any visible difference from normal after you leave doctors office.
2. I have about 90 minutes drive home, can I do it?
I'm planning not to tell my husband about it.
Thanks for your time!

hi,
just chiming in here-I had some swelling when I left drs,but felt fine! I dont think it would be very noticeable. It is a few days later that you would feel pain, if any at all, so the drive home would be fine in my opinion.

Are you still happy with the results a year later?

Thanks for sharing. you look great and this is inspiring for me to go for it and get it done. Thanks for the advice on smaller applicators = less pain.

Had another treatment done on 2/22, this time using a small applicator on both the upper and lower abs. No swelling, no bruising and way less painful than the large applicator. I wasn't going to update until the one month mark, but I've already seen subtle -- yet noticeable -- results in just one week and couldn't help myself. I can't imagine how awesome the results will be in 2-4 months!

Wow! Your first treatment went really well but with your second one your results are just amazing. Do the doctors normally recommend multiple treatments?

does this help with skin tightening? any improvement with skin tone?
March 14, 2012
No. It does not tighten the skin. But it also doesn't seem to make skin any looser than it already is.

I'm at 5 weeks after Zeltiq and see a very noticeable difference in both areas, my 4 week follow up measured 1.75 inches less than pre Zeltiq, and the PA said I should expect another inch over the next month. I've also lost about 4 lbs. Super excited and happy with the results!

I was told it would take at least two months for any effect to be seen. I had two areas done on my lower stomach on 18th March and so far it looks exactly the same. I will be extremely annoyed if it doesn't work as it cost £800 for each area so it cost £1,600 in total. A great deal of money I could have used for many others things.
