My Journey to My Flatter Tummy - Durham, NC

As a proud mommy of 3 handsome little guys ages 11, 6 and 4, my tummy has gone through a lot. Along with those 3 blessings came excess skin, fat, stretch marks and stretched out muscles. My youngest decided that he wanted to do a u-turn during labor and the result was a c-section, lol. Since then, I have wanted to have a tummy tuck done to regain my figure and confidence before pregnancy. I have a wonderful supportive husband and mother who will assist me during my recovery. I am soooo excited but I'm also a little nervous.

25 days until my TT, yayy. My pre op is scheduled for 2/20/13. I am so so excited. All I do is look at before and after pics and read everyone else's TT journeys. My family, friends and co-workers(even my boss) are just as excited as I am. I am the guinnea pig, lol. They are using me as their catalyst/inspiration to having the surgery performed some day. Each day, I am closer to being able to look in the mirror without holding in my stomach and imagining what my tummy would look like if it was flat.

I received my consent paperwork and was told to sign and bring it with me to
my pre surgical appt on th 20th. I'm getting so much closer to having my body back. I have 18 more days, Yayyy! I'm scheduled for 7:30 am as a 2 1/2 hr case. I haven't grown nervous yet, just still very anxious. I think I have read just about every review on realself and watched every YouTube video, lol.

I am now 11 days away from my TT and getting more and more excited. I had my pre surgical appt with my physician and his nurse. We signed all the consents, discussed do's and dont's and took before pics. I have prescriptions to fill and plenty of organizing for my husband and children. So, I will start today:)

I have my prescriptions, didn't cost much at all. Under $15 for all 3 at Walmart! But that was with my rx plan and I was given generic brands. I purchased a couple pairs of yoga pants and tops for lounging after the surgery. I already have my recliner and will have my hubby to move it downstairs to the living room so that I dont have to climb stairs. I have my mederma, panty liners, 2 waist cinchers and 2 compression garments. I still need to pick up a few things, but overall, I am soooo ready :).

Hello to all of my Realself family. I am 1 day postop and wow, the pain ain't no joke. Im trying to take 1 percocet every 4 hrs instead of 2 every 6 hrs so i can move around more than sleep. Lol, lucky for us pain=beauty. I haven't taken any postop pics yet but hopefully I can manage one or two later when I remove my cg and put the binder on to freshen up.

I am just 4 days out from my tummy tuck, although I like my results thus far, I can't really enjoy and take it all in because of my frequent headaches or worrying about leg discomfort. When shoukd i start to see some decrease in swelling? This definitely has not been the greatest week and I'm praying for a rainbow at the end of my storm.:) I hate to sound like a hater but why couldnt I have one of the easier recoveries? This is nothing like my csection recovery. When will my days get better?
