One Month Review

I can't believe it's been 4 weeks! I had my seroma drained on Monday and it appears to not be reoccurring so I can finally start my massages. The swelling is no joke and hurts like hell after a long day at work. I am to the point where none of my old clothes fit any more and I don't want to spend money on new clothes until I finish "shrinking". I begin this journey a size 12 and right now I think I can wear a size 8 comfortably. I'm happy with my results and can't wait to see what the next month of recovery brings.

Seroma?

Unfortunately I think I may have developed a seroma! I got my one and only drain removed at 13 days PO, and everything seemed to be going as well as expected, but last night I noticed a "squishy" section right above my scar. Of course I had to turn to Real Self to self diagnose. I did the "wave test" on my belly by pressing down on the spot and sure enough it rippled to the other side. I will be going to the doctors office tomorrow for my first lymphatic massage and hopefully I will be able to get a definite answer about my suspicion. I hope I'm wrong.

I love this doctor. He seems like a really nice guy who is knowledgeable about his field and is passionate about his work.
