I Had my Consult and Booked my Surgery Date!
Where do I start? I am so overjoyed with excitement that I actually met Dr. Jimerson face to face and this is really going to be happening for me! I had my consultation done 5/11/18 at 9am. I do have to say it was a bit frustrating before the visit because I did not receive a reminder or appointment confirmation call/email 7 days prior as I was initially told I would be when I 1st scheduled. I could not get ahold of anyone and was scheduled to fly out from California the day prior. After about 3 attempts finally spoke to someone and confirmed the visit, that relieved all the instant anxiety and I could breathe a sigh of relief because I had been thinking to myself " Just my luck it'll be canceled and I erased the email telling me it was canceled and came all this way!" I am naturally a worry wart with bad luck lol.
The day of the appointment we arrived at 8:45am to an office full of women waiting anxiously like me. I seen a young woman enter the office after me and noticed she was wearing a FAJA under her dress and asked her if she was post-op. She said yes she was 7 days out and was having her appointment to get the ok to fly back home. Seeing how well she was moving around at 7 days post-op relieved my nerves! She looked FREAKING AMAZING!!!!!!!! She said it wasn't nearly as bad as she thought it would be. After day 2 she was feeling so much better and could move.
I sat patiently and waited my turn. After about 20 min my name was called and I was all smiles. I was led to the back and was instructed to undress and my patient coordinator would be in shortly to go over my health history and then I would meet with Dr. Jimerson afterwards.
The patient coordinator came in and we went over EVERYTHING THOROUGHLY. I was as open as a book honey because being diabetic and the fact that my Mom passed away from a Pulmonary Embolism after a surgery I wanted everything on the table because I had mentally prepared myself that in the event Dr. Jimerson said " No you are not a candidate for this procedure" I'd fall out and act a fool for a minute, get my flat ass up and spongebob myself right out of there....
About 10 minutes after I was done with the coordinator (who was a sweetheart btw) in walked the MAN, the MYTH, the LEGEND himself!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't lie he had me shook! That is one handsome Man!!!!!! I gasped when I seen him, then he shook my hand with his magical hands and it was down to business. He asked me to disrobe and examined my body. He recommended Lipo 360 and a TT with fat grafting to the Hips and Butt. Based on my BMI of 25 he said I need to gain about 10lbs. (no MORE than) to have enough fat for this BOOTY he's bout to build. I am 5'7" and 165 lbs currently. He did ask what kind of booty I wanted. I did not bring any wish pics because I am realistic to the fact that everyone is a different height and weight and I just want to look like the best me because anything is better than what I got going on now. He said he understood and would fill it all out for me.
I do trust him and his work, his demeanor was one of sincerity and his bedside manner was very professional. I explained my concerns of the Diabetes and Pulmonary Embolism family history and he agreed with all my concerns. He said he would be doing extensive lab work and if anything came back abnormal it would put a hault to the procedure but that didn't mean I am not a candidate just a higher risk. I liked the fact he was so thorough, concerned and proactive.
After I seen him the Patient Coordinator came back in with the pricing and the total I am looking at is 19,000. That was including the booty pillow and package of 3 massages post op. I will be looking elsewhere to purchase a booty pillow but will be needing those massages. I paid my deposit of $400.00 to lock in my price and scheduled my date for 5/10/19. I know that seems a long way out but I need to mentally prepare for this because I need to make it back to my 3 babies. Also with my diabetes I want to make sure I am in the healthiest range before proceeding! I am scared but my excitement outweighs the nerves. I AM READY FOR THIS STEP!

I finally did it! I took that 1st leap of faith...
I finally did it! I took that 1st leap of faith and scheduled my consult with Dr. Curves! I have been admiring his work since 2010 but never pursued it any further because I wasn't done having kids yet, fast forward to 2018 my 3rd child is now 1, tubes are tied and I am ready to go for it. I'll admit I am a little scared because I know the risks and complications that can arise and the fact that I am type 2 diabetic complicates the situation even further. I however need to do this for myself! I have always been self conscious of my butt so much so it leads me to depression and being so hard on myself. I have had 3 c-sections now and we can add the insecurities of a flabby tummy to the list as well. It doesn't help coming from a long line of curvy Latin women (Guess the booty genes skipped me). I have researched many other doctors here in California but results and desires always lead me back to the man, the myth, the legend himself DR.CURVES. I am excited to meet him face to face and see if this could possibly be a reality for me! I hope to take those interested in him as well along for the ride!
