How it works
  • Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
  • This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
  • Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.

Rhinoplasty, Septoplasty, turbinate reduction,...

Rhinoplasty, Septoplasty, turbinate reduction, valve repair. If you are looking for a talented, gentle & compassionate surgeon, Dr. Bapna is the doctor for you. What swayed me the most was his honesty. He read through an old surgery report I had from several years ago at another facility. Dr. Bapna explained what went wrong and what he could to fix it. After my first surgical experience, I did not want to go through the pain, nausea and frustration again… Dr. Bapna assured me this time would be different. I’ve had debilitating migraine headaches my entire life. I finally found the courage to walk into a Plastic Surgeon’s office. Having taught Anatomy & Physiology at the college level, I knew I wanted to have a board-certified plastic surgeon. I could never find consistent, positive reviews for such doctors. What sets Dr. Bapna apart from the rest? He is quick to respond, non-judgmental and has tons of experience. I appreciate that he is in tune with my personality – he has the ability to read people and care enough to respond appropriately. If you have questions, he’ll give you all the answers you need. If you’re like me and would rather not know the details, he won’t push to prove his validity. The level of trust is accepted and understood. The patient care coordinator, Kate, was quick to respond via e-mail which made it super easy for me to communicate with their office. At my first appointment, I enjoyed reading the patient testimonals in the waiting room. The atmosphere was very welcoming and private. He took before pictures and I scheduled a second pre-op appointment to go over the surgical plan. Dr. Bapna is very detail oriented – he pointed out subtle imperfections of my nose and how he could make it better. I felt reassured knowing I was in the hands of a surgical perfectionist. I was able to get scheduled for surgery within the next few weeks. My surgery was performed at Dublin Methodist Hospital. The nurses were all very friendly and listened to my concerns. I did not have to repeat anything. They did their best to make sure I was not nauseous after surgery as I had experienced before. I arrived at the hospital around 9:30 AM morning and was home by 5 PM. Dr. Bapna called that evening to see how I was recovering and to make sure I was comfortable and not nauseous. I had a follow-up appointment the next day where Dr. Bapna removed some packing from my nose. Having been through this before, I was so surprised how painless it was when he removed it. (I wanted to punch the last surgeon who touched my nose post-op!)Unfortunately, I became super nauseous day 2 late at night. I did not hesitate to touch base with Dr. Bapna – he took my husband’s phone call at 11:30 PM at night. It was comforting to know he was only a phone call away and could talk us through anything. Dr. Bapna called the next morning to make sure I was recovering from a night of being ill. He went above and beyond what I expected. He offered additional suggestions to help make me more comfortable.Overall, I have had a very positive experience with Dr. Bapna. I would trust him with any of my surgical needs. He is talented, caring, compassionate & can read people – that is SO rare in the medical field these days. If you’re going to invest in your health – whether functional, cosmetic or both – choose Dr. Bapna. You won’t regret it. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about my condition and experience!!

"We can make your nose look like this.. and even better." --Dr. Bapna

He wasn't lying!! Breathing great and still migraine free. I'll take a sneeze or two any day over a contact point migraine.

There is a plethora of information on the realself forum - read it... it's worth it. I won't go in to detail about what you should or shouldn't do -- everyone is different. Follow your surgeon's instructions and you can't go wrong. If anything, stock up on tissues (the gentle kind), chapstick, gauze pads, Arnicare tablets, soft ice packs, & water (with a straw). Day 10 and I don't have a bruise in sight... swelling is minimal. Nobody can tell I've had surgery since day 6. (What - you were gone for a week?!? You had a surgery???) lol

This has been more of a mental/emotional journey for me than I ever expected. Being able to breathe again, free of debilitating migraine pain, and confidence from a more symmetrical/less bumpy nose... you cannot put a price tag on it. I feel whole again. Most of all, I have reconnected to my spiritual side that I have been frustrated with for so long. Do not underestimate what chronic physical pain can do to a person.

Choose your surgeon wisely. I cannot encourage you enough to research - read reviews, check for malpractice/complaints, find out how responsive the office is, visit the office/hospital - is it reputable? Should you trust a surgeon who works in this facility? Your surgeon should be board-certified, talented, motivated, and a perfectionist.
