Well I haven't been on here in a while. I developed an infection in the incision in my left breast. I was hospitalized for 4 days on IV antibiotics,got out of the hospital on Thursday. Friday my PS reopened my incision and cut out anything that looked infected so far so good. I am also receiving antibiotics at home through a PICC line. I get 3 doses a day. I have a home health nurse that comes every Monday to draw bloodwork and change the dressing on my PICC line. I got really sick on Saturday with nausea and vomiting,I had to page my PS to get a prescription for Zofran. It helps but makes me sleepy. I'm starting to wonder if this was all worth it....kinda down today,have to see an infectious disease doc this afternoon. Suppose to get my sutures out tomorrow.

Well I'm officially 2 weeks post op today. Still pretty sore. The lipo sites are the worst. Had some bleeding under my left breast. My PS says its from a scab falling off. I slept in my bed for the first time last night. Wasn't bad but still not back to normal. I'm a side sleeper and when I try to lay on my side I feel like I'm gonna pop a stitch or something...any ideas ? I hate the compression garmet it makes me itch,however I can see the difference in my body every day. My belly butto is really swollen. My PS told me to put some Neosporin and a marble in it to help shape it. Hope it works. All the steri strips are off and I don't have another follow up for 4 weeks.

Post op day 8. I feel miserable. I got my drain removed and that was no fun. I do feel better since its been out,I don't have to worry about it getting snagged on clothes and things. Does anyone else itch? My new boobs itch like crazy,my PS told me it could be nerves waking up,the pain meds and also the healing process. It drives me nuts. I haven't driven anywhere yet,went to my dr appt and shopping with my daughter. Needless to say I'm ready for bed. It seems like if I'm up too long my back and butt start to swell and hurt. I fel like I have a hippo butt ans I only had lipo on my flanks and have 4 small incisions on my lower back and above my butt. I willbe so glad to sleep in a bed again. The recliner was ok at first. I'm ready to start sleeping on side again.
