The Most Horrific Experience of my Life

I had a breast augmentation with River Medical Dublin on 27th June 2018 with Dr Labros Chaztis ( since retired ) but still the Medical Director of River Medical Dublin.According to River Medical Dr Chaztis has performed over 3,500 breast surgeries and is a world authority on breast asymmetry .My recovery was very hard and I had not been prepared by my surgeon or nurses for the pain I endured commencing week one increasing as the weeks went by . I had unfortunately developed nerve pain . At 8 week I went for a check up with My surgeon and thankfully while the pain was still present somewhat it had much improved

My Surgeon was happy with my progress and told me my results would remain for many years just not to gain or loose more than a few pounds in weight .But my result at 8 weeks was not to last , by less than 12 weeks I had 2 differently shaped breasts my right has a round appearance with upper pole fullness while my left has a longer dropped shaped lacking upper pole fullness and moving out away from my body towards my arm my left also has a pulling dragging feeling 24/7 and is extremely uncomfortable while my right feels fairly normal and comfortable as if the implant has always been there

It is now 24 weeks and there has been no improvement at all .As my surgeon has retired I had another consultation with different surgeon at River Medical to see what has gone wrong .This other surgeon the name I can not remember told me that in my measurement from shoulderblade to nipple there was a difference of half a cm and that this accounted for the asymmetry between my breasts (which I can't accept this to my mind should only leave one breast slightly lower and certainly does not account for the discomfort) but he could not tell me why it was not apparent at all at 8 weeks
During my initial consultation there was no discussion of a half a cm difference and the said implications of this half a cm if any

I found when I complained to River Medical they just did not want to know .In fact one of the nurses in a telephone conversation told me "you can not expect the same result at your age (49) as someone younger "in a future telephone conversation with the same nurse she told me that I misinterpreted what she said but how do you misinterpret that sentence .On another occasion after a particularly stressful encounter with the nurse manager I left a review on there facebook and they simply disabled reviews instead of responding to it .Its impossible to get them to return a call or email . The whole experience has left me completely depressed and demoralised I believed I had chosen an ethical company but I had not .I completely placed my trust in this company and its staff and they have eroded what remained of my self confidence I feel abused and emotionally black and blue .They care more for there profits than there patients

On the day of My surgery I had an 8 hour wait from 7.30 am until 3.30 pm , a long day . I was 5th out of 6 patients to be operated upon .Was the surgeon tired ? I'm sure he was .Did something go wrong if so I wont be told . Its like a conveyor belt .For a surgeon that has performed over 3,500 breast surgeries and is a world authority on breast asymmetry one would not expect this result .On this day Mr Chaztis took my hands in his and told me not to worry everything will be fine .Well its not fine .I will be left to pay for this both emotionally and financially for quite some time and theres nothing I can do about that.
