Is the stinging due to return of sensation? Have you had our 6 months checkup with PS? I am past 7 months PO and sometimes my boobs feel really tired and weird without a bra on. My nipples can feel tender and really stand to attention too, even when they are not cold

Hi thanks for your comment! I know what you mean about boobs feeling tired and weird.. the muscles def still feel tight especially if I’ve been in the gym. Stinging could be return of nipple sensation I guess. They’re quite uncomfortable tho & sometimes my nipples feel like they’ve been chafed feeding a newborn

Hi, it could be over sensitive nipples which a lot of BA women report. What has helped me was using Lanolin nipple cream, if you are not allergic to lanolin. Slight bra pads also help with the chafing feeling. Take care

That’s a great idea! Used lanolin nipple cream when breastfeeding and it worked a treat! Did you find the problem resolved after a time?

Yes, I only had nipple sensitivity over 2 separate weeks. The first time was really uncomfortable so I got lanolin and that really soothed them. The second episode was not so bad. I couldn’t find small tubes of cream so I have quite a lot left over but lanolin is also great as lipsalve and cuticle cream. On the bad days, I just think that “this too will pass” and how glad I coped with major surgery, and how much better I feel about my boobs!

Droopy nipples 4.5 weeks post op Warning: Rant ahead!

BeautyBuff28
I’m 4.5 weeks post op I’ve notived this since about 10 days or so but was hoping it’s settle down. It looks kinda weird now!
Also my chest muscles feel weird like they’re flexing the boob or something...
I’m not due to see surgeon til 6.5 weeks
Phoned today to see if I could change appointment and I was told surgeon is fine with not seeing me til the end of the month; or 10 weeks post op!! This from a sales person (non-medical) speaking on behalf of the surgeon without taking my name!!
Whether I want to see him or not is irrelevant! I’m so disappointed with their attitude and post op care tbh
I’ve a few concerns which without the info on here I’d be up the walls!
Once they have your money they don’t give a s*!?t about you!!

I'd call again and tell them you have a concern you need to talk to them about. They should at least let your talk to the nurse or relay a message to your doctor. When I had a question a nurse called me back, I'm sure if she didn't know the answer she would have talked to the surgeon. I hope you can figure it all out I have no idea why your nips are doing that. Hugs!

How are they looking now?

how did it go? are you happy with the results now?
January 5, 2018
Hi there
All went ok in the end. I’m generally happy with results though I have a few issues, they still feel tight across chest especially when I do anything in the gym. They’re still quite high. I can feel the edge of the implants. They get very old which kinda freaks me out.

Hope you’re doing well,Im thinking about the operation but dont really want to go to Avoca...:(
January 5, 2018
Hi there
I guess I’m happy enough, though they’re not entirely comfortable and still feel quite high & tight.
To be honest I kinda regret going with Avoca.... the aftercare is shocking. Even the surgeon’s attitude is flippant. It’s all about money to them. It’s worth paying the extra to go directly to a private consultant. I wish now that I did.

No nurse calls you back. You can only access admin/sales staff, who, shockingly, will attempt to answer your clinical questions. They control all access to surgeon. Nurses, though lovely, are general & not specially trained. They literally take out stitches etc It’s very unsatisfactory really

Hi BeautyBuff 28, very sorry for your experience, most likely u will feel better soon, give yourself some time. I was dreaming of bigger breast but recently spending time here and reading so many stories...im mixed up;(, dont want implants, very scared of unknown what can happen or if it will change my life... thinking more that fat transfer would be better option..

I think things are settling a bit. I’ve been able to sleep on my side & sleep lying flat so finally I’m getting good nights sleep
I’m piling on weight... not exercising is driving me crazy. Surgeon said 6 weeks. I’ve gone for a few walks that’s it. I’m so down when I’m not exercising that I tend to binge eat which is making things worse! Can’t wait to run & go to the gym again.

My nipples are extremely sensitive and clothes touching off them very sure ( feels like rarely dats of breast feeding all over again!)
Mondors Cords still an issue & scars still sore at times, scar to right is quite lumpy. I hope the scars settle into the breast fold he created. My follow up appointment is 3 weeks from today

Hi, You are looking so great. Sorry to hear you are having a tough time. I know I will have this same problem. My gym time is my alone time. It is my stress reliever without it I don't feel normal. I would suggest when you feel down just get outside and take a walk. I think talking slow walks in nature will really lift your spirits. I hope you start to feel better soon. Hugs!
