Hi, I gained a huge amount of weight a few years back (3 years) after a short stressful period and since then I have been unable to get rid of it :(- im normally a 63KG girl and im 169cm tall. but now I weigh 78KG, I no longer recognise my body. My body has always been in proportion, and still is today despite the extra weight but i want my old body back! I want to fit into my old clothes and look how im used to looking.
so- ive now seen two consultants in Dubai (where i now live) and both have agreed they can do the work- arms, inner thighs (outer)flanks, tummy and back! One consultant has suggested Vaser with GA on those areas and the other has insisted that traditional lipo is better.
let me break it down as I really need some advise and guidance...
surgeon number 1- great guy, nice clinic etc, loads of media coverage on him too. agreed can do all areas but suggested only inner thighs as i don't have saddle bags- he only does vaser and was adamant that this is the current best in the market.
surgeon 2- again great guy, felt super comfortable with him, loads of exp 20yrs plus but minimal media coverage (seems he doesn't like to boast?!) anyhow, he was not happy to do my outer arms as said the skin is too thin and would sag but agreed to do the over arm and side as skin was thicker, he also suggested i do my banana line (which the other surgeon didn't pick up on) to better define my butt as well as inner thighs! over all i have good muscle tone so he's confident my skin (although by genetics i have thin skin) should retract well. i do want to do my knees but cant as i have a huge veracious vein and haven't yet had the time to operate on it- so no go area for now!
I have a pilonidal cyst and both agreed any incisions will need to be done on the sides to avoid aggravating it.
my question to you all is which is better? Vaser or normal Lipo? i like the second guy, felt he understood and was modern in his approach (also the ladies in the waiting room where the same as me- where as the first was different) ....
thanks al :)

I was even thinking to fly to Miami to get the Brazilian Butt Lift by Dr.Fisher to ensure the good results, however the fly distance of 16hrs back with such pain will be unbearable.
Did you operate now. Hope can share your experience please

Hi, so I went with dr Ricardo! It's been an interesting experiance so far- I'm five weeks post lipo. Dr Ricardo was awesome, so far recovery is going well I did get a seroma after the surgery but he aspirated it and since then I'm healing- the tummy area is the most sore.
As for results... At this point I can see a shape change but no lose in size- if anything I'm thicker but I've been told there is a lot of swelling so hopeful the results will come.
I've been doing lpg as well with the private clinic- Michelle is my technican and she's amazing!!!!
The only negative I would say is I have to chase for follow ups- the last time I saw my surgeon was three weeks ago and I've now insisted he see me again- also I've been trying to understand from him what results I can expect to see (since I haven't seen any yet) and he's a bit vague and keeps telling me to be patient. I totally understand after major surgery they can take time for the swelling to come down but I'm concerned he's not really managing my expectations well.
I did speak to a few others who have had various surgeries with him and all were very positive and happy with their results so I'm not too concerned at this stage.
Let me know if you have any questions!
Best of luck :)

Hey, sorry for the late response had some issues with my account. I Went to see Dr.Ricardo, he is sounded ethical and a traditional Doctor. Just I didn't feel the operation will give me the shape I want as the ones done in Miami for example. So I decided to work out more and behave with diet and see the results. Plus it's so expensive here in Dubai. Like in Egypt it only costs AED 9,000 at the best surgeons. Dr.Ricardo started with AED42,000 and when I bargained , the final price was AED 27,000. Which is still rediculous. I am happy you had the operation, I believe u d stay strict with the diet as well to maintain your results
Keep us posted on what you decide. I'm not sure one is "better" than the other, from what I've read in the Doctor Q&A the doctor's skill is more important than the type of lipo:
