Before/ after Operation table pics

I will start putting up pictures after i go for my next visit on Tuesday, as of now its a straighter short nose but still the tip part has a lot of swelling which has to go down to see the definition...
supposedly i cannot keep a short update, it has to be 200 characters!
ok .. so i noticed there are stitches at both hollows of my nosetril to keep it intact and not move i guess. Cleaning bit in there is blaah, i'm just waiting to see how my nose comes down to after the initial swelling although i know the true form will take a few months. Still excited!

I Feel Like Bambi - Revision Rhinoplasty

Today is one week post my revision rhinoplasty and finally i think it's time for a review because i finally have started to see how how it's going to look once the swelling recedes.
I have been unfortunate before with my primary rhinoplasty done with another dubai based doctor 2 years ago, the results were truly sad! Knowing the deformity post surgery at the initial stages itself i had approached him with my concerns and he had asked me to wait for a year to be completed before going for a revision to correct all the deformities he had left me with. But to my dismay after the first year, the promise wasn't kept and i was reprimanded for pointing it out. I din pursue any further with him as i couldn't trust myself or my nose with some one who lacked ethics. So i started my look out for someone who could correct the screwup and ended my search once i met with a very kind soul - Dr Levente!
My first surgery was done in sept 2016 with Dr Ashok Govilla (not recommended at all!), in December 2017 he declined to do a revision claiming my nose is a 'miracle' and i should be happy with it whatsoever. I met with Dr Levente first time in Jan 2018 when he was consulting at Zahra hospital, i instantly knew it would be him who will fix my nose right after the consultation. But, due to certain circumstances i had to wait and i din have my resources in order and had to put off going ahead with a surgery at the time. I was persistent though and followed the doctor when he moved to Dr Suleiman Al Habib hospital recently. In October, it was destined. Within a week and 4 consultations later we decided on the date of the surgery.
It was done last week on the 17th Oct, Dr Levente assured me 3 things which we priortized together - (a) the tip which was crooked and curved to the left would be fixed. (b) the dorsal line would be narrower (c) will try to correct the incision scar on my right nostril the best he could.
Now what more can i ask for ? I was ready... i was so ready to have a decent non- attention seeking nose finally! Yes, my nose commanded attention for all the wrong reasons prior to this surgery and i wanted this to change. Also, i might as well add the major reason apart from having a decent looking nose i was suffering from breathing properly, at times it seemed like i was wheezing like a 99 year old who was trying to climb the Everest! It was that bad. This only started after my primary surgery.
Let's just say i was one of the many who weren't lucky enough the first time. Or was stupid enough in their initial homework. Sorry for being sour, but i had live with my experience for 2 years.
So on the 17th after the revision surgery which went on for 3 hours, i was back in my plush room which i shared with my mother (the nice nurses set up a bed for her right next to mine, she slept well) . But lets just say i'm a baby when it comes to pain, and couldn't get much sleep through the night. I had this IV syringe running on the backside of my left palm and most of the wee hours i was mentally plotting how to make some one get that off me or ask the nurse to knock me out with something far stronger.
None worked, but i had enough of it by morning and made a scene when they inserted the last of them as i couldn't take the pain anymore caused by the syringe made them get it off me! My nose wasn't hurting much, the syringe hurted far more *roll eye*
That brings to how much my 'new' nose hurt since the surgery - i was told by my doc thankfully there was enough cartilage left by in the previous surgery he worked with it and kept my ears intact (!) he had warned me before that if there is any need he wouldn't hesitate to take cartilage off the back of my ear, thankfully it wasn't needed. Crushed cartilage was used to define my nose and also to support it in the center (right above my lip) so it doesn't curve each time i move my mouth. Also Dr Levente told me he had put in grafts on my nostrils to give it shape and symmetry as one of the side was was collapsed from before. Lastly he had resurrected my dorsum to align the new tip and make a smooth slender dorsal line from the tip. All was done and aesthetics was the priority!
I honestly was putting off this review because i wanted to see for myself what had been done, which before today afternoon wasn't all that clear. I just din want to make a comment until i had a preview. Tfoday i peeled of the tape he had plastered in place on my last appointment so i can massage my swelling off my nose as it was already loosely hanging. That's when i actually scrutinized how it would look in a few weeks. My verdict i will look like Bambi! :)
Road map so far - 17th Oct afternoon i had my surgery, my nose was stuffed and packed up. Morning of 18th the doctor visited removed the stints and everything inside and i left with a silicone stint over the nose. I had an appointment on 23rd to remove the silicone and the stitches, he taped my nose so the swelling goes down.
And also there were stints way inside of my nose on each end getting one out i nearly squirmed in my chair! Mind you the doctor is funny, humerous, handsome even but boy could he be admonishing when you behave like a kid! But my word people, this doctor is very kind and his work is more about the art he performs less about the money he could make. The smile and satisfaction he brings to his patient is what matters utmost i realized.
I have my next appointment on 30th.
Happy weekend.

Consultation 1 and 2 - October 2018

Anyways i decided not to cry over spilt milk and the only way i can put this whole thing behind me and look proud and to always keep my face/ nose held high is by fixing the elephant on my face! :)

So on 1st October before noon i get a call from Dr Levente himself and he said his nurse had shown him the message i had written to him the previous night, that’s when i was sulking at the state of my nose and remembering the promise i did to myself a year back that i will have anyways have it fixed one day and wrote to him that i was still considering to get a revision done with him.

He was the most polite and asked me to come in for a consultation the next day to check it out. I did and he being the professional he was went right to work, he checked the inside of my nose and detailed to me what needs to be corrected and what looks wrong and what can be done.
He gave me a few options and asked me to think about it and let him know if i did like him to perform the surgery.
The same night i let him know that i did like to perform the revision with him and it was decided i meet up for a second consultation so he could take my photos of my nose.

Consultation 2 - (Oct 4)
I knew the drill from my previous experience and the Doctor took my photos while i rotated myself on the swirl chair to have him take my shots at all 180 angles. I'm sure he got to capture some of my better angles in at least 2 of them! :D

I will attach a couple of selfies of mine from last week after my first consultation so there is reference for you guys at how it looks currently.

Also i had signed off my consent papers after we had discussed and he jotted down the three priorities i wanted to be fixed with this revision. He had asked me to think about it the earlier day.
Let me also tell you guys i never had a breathing problem until after my first surgery now occasionally people ask and point out to me that why i'm breathing heavily. That’s when i stop myself to hear myself heaving like a 100 year old. Once a friend of mine asked me over the phone when I answered his call if I just finished a marathon. So it is never just when I exert myself. I used to play some sports before and now any kind of sport i do my right side nose runs out like a baby drool. This is all just embarrassing to say the least.

Coming back to the consultation, we had concluded after my second consult that 1) my tip will be smaller and will be straight (no more curving to the left)
2) the bridge will be more aquiline/ angular and narrower. At the moment my tip and dorsum is raised and between them is a dent so its more like up and down slope.
3) Full symmetry in nose, my nostrils are wide and have incision left from the previous surgery that will be corrected.

I will be adding more updates when the wheel starts to move! Stay tuned and wish me luck.

P.S: I'm in the process of moving out of my current accommodation packing my stuffs, hence i will be busy the whole week and so once i'm settled down by next week i will check with the doctor on what next.

Update <<<< Revision Rhinoplasty DONE !!!! >>>> Consultation: Revision Rhinoplasty consutation with Dr Levente - convinced there is still some hope for my nose to look normal! So yesterday i had the privilege to have a consultation with Dr Levente which lasted for about 20 minutes but what amazed me was in this very short time he was able to pin point to me the botch done to my nose from my previous surgery before i even hinted it to him. Although the tweaks which is required is very minor but it does make a big difference to how it looks right now. Unfortunately for me my previous surgeon who agreed to fix it knowing what had gone wrong in my initial rhinoplasty with him but at the last minute he declined to proceed with an operation claiming i was being very vain and i should settle down with what i have and tried to convince me that no other surgeon would agree to fix it because the faults were very minuscule ! Being a perfectionist, and being reminded of the weirdness of how my nose looks in almost all of my selfies ever so often, i was on the look out for a surgeon who can see what i saw and i wanted to have a second opinion from someone who knows other's noses inside out and after the consultation i had yesterday i have a feeling i had found the man who can read my nose inside out! At the moment i will have to wait to go ahead with the surgery, but will be considering him as my first option when i'm ready. For now from my experience with him, i can recommend him as a doctor who you can trust your nose with.
